    He, as you said, fights with cloud and the gang via Cait Sith, but they have only met like once....he drew Midgar (Which was the city i reffered to).

    My first guess would be Sephiroth as well. He was tested on, and he believes that he and Jenova are the only ones worthy of living.

    Since BakaMattSu beat me to it i would say Kuja, because he kinda fits into the description as well....
