Who am I?

Nobody knows who I really am
But how can they?
When I never show them
Who I really am

I hide who I am
This lie has gotten to painful
To keep it
Especially from you

Can I show anyone?
Or should I hide it?
Can I share who I really am?
I no longer want to be alone

But would you really give a damn?
To find out whom I truly am
Would you still be there?
Or would you leave me too?

I want to show you who I truly am
But I fear losing you
So until I have strength
Remember there is more to me

And someday I will show you who I truly am
