Did anyone ever notice how popular "heavy"/"gothic"/etc. music is with anime fans?

I think it stems from the fact that many of them (or at least the poster's on this board) are at they rebellious stage. Listening to non-mainstream music irritates their parents or whatever.

 

I'm not really a fan of Avril..i think she's depressing. I don't have a favourite band....there are sooo many of them. I love Linkin Park, and Flyleaf and A Perfect Circle, and t.A.T.u, and Lostprophets, and GNR and Aerosmith and ...just..sooo many of them!! *goes crazy trying to think of her favourite* aahhhh!! when I know, i'll tell you

 

Ehhh more and MORE favorites. These are the TOP! None of these can be defeated.

1. Korn - As you ALL know, my favorite band of all time. WHy? Because they frickin' rule. Your lookin' at they're top "old" school fan.

2. Deftones - THOUGH, I prefer the old stuff..such as "My Own Summer (SHOVE IT!)" and "Back to School (Mini Maggit)" The new album.. or so i've heard by they're new single is not as hard-core as they used to be.

3. Incubus - As much as I hate these alt. bands. Incubus is a leader. Believe me. Brandon Boyd is the ****. No one can match up his talents. <3

4. Static-X - Let's see..this band has to be one of my complete favorites. Why..? They sound a lil' like Korn. DUDE! That song "Control It" and "Destroy" is like the two top songs in all of "metal" history. Yea!

5. Norma Jean - One of the most excellent metal bands out today. Not listening to much, but "A cemetary like a stage" is awesome and few other songs. Plan on listening to them MUCH more..

 

Well, I'm bored so I'll list my favorite old school bands.

Jefferson Starship/Airplane: What can I say? I like the music. Airplane alittle more then Starship though. ><

Bob Seger: Night moves. Oh my god, Listen to night moves. The man's voice is hideous but the lyrics are perfect. ><

Foriegner: I makes me think of ATHF when I talk about the band.. But I really do want a Foriegner Belt. I love them. ><

Queen: I'd be lying if I didn't say I loved queen. Killer Queen is one of the most energetic songs on my playlist which just proves how sad and listless I am.

Journey: It's... Journey... xD

Rush: OH EM GEE. I love Rush. I love The Trees and Subdivisions and Early Distant Warning and Limelight and Fly by Night and yeah.. Love them. I love Geddy Lee. So much. <3

And now I'm bored of band listing. ;3

 

I gotta agree w/u...and i LOVE EVANESSENCE and ayumi Hamasaki(not really a band) Namie Amuro, and LoTs of Japanese pop/rock bands...im pretty diverse. i like everything BUT country. HATE COUNTRY. I GET ANGRY WHEN I HEAR IT.:anger2: its the worst music that was ever invented. and Now THAT im done yelling about THAT....i have 2 say that MUSIC IS MY LIFE! ^_~ (just not country..i think i made that pretty clear up there ^^^)*_*
