I must say it looks pretty tight/cool.

There is a clock on the right side. Actually clock. News Headlines also on the left. A gagdet thing have yet to try it out.

When you tabs open (like different applications) you want to choose one it's 3-D on the screen.

It sorts out Games and App you get.

    Speech Recognition.

I can't wait. Right now there is a free one year trail on one of the computers I have.

It so beats XP. 2007 it should be out.

My room mate got his hands on a trial version. He told me that its really nice and shiny but hes not a massive windows fan so this didn't really impress him to much. I think he was a bit closed mind on it but hes more into linux. Haven't had a chance to look at it myself.

Windows Vista is sweet yes, but I wonder how much problems it will have when it's being released, hell the voice recognition is already starting cause some problems for the Microsoft programmers.

Well, I'd say wait for the new Ubuntu update and convert to linuxism.

And most of the gadgets, such as clocks, newstickers and hell even your tv-schedule can be fixed right now by using programs such as Samurize, Rainlender/meter.

    long term Vista use....

IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT GAMES
for all means use it, it's massively better than XP in that department...

    IF YOU CARE ABOUT GAMES
don't switch unless it's actually needed and you have DirectX10 hardware

I'll find out how much I like it when I get my laptop grad present. My grandpa has his eyes set on one for me that comes with it, so we'll see then.
