Creative Writing Would you recomend either of the following?

Would anyone here recomend either of these two books?

Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy

----AND/OR-----

Ringworld


I was looking into these and was wondering what others thought of them.

Please tell me the reason for whether or not you would recomend this book.

don't know about Ringworld, but Hitch Hikers Guide is BRILLIANT. If you like subtle (and some not-so-subtle!) humour and sarcasm then definately get it!

 

I also have no opinion of Ringworld as I have not read it. However, I also would recommend Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy. It was hilarious!

 

Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is great. The first three books are hilarious. The last two, not so much. You should definately read it if you're a fan of British humor.

Douglas adams (or D.N.A.) is responsible for all the different and conflicting versions of the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, The books are Awesome (yes that's right awesome with a capital A in the middle of a sentence, i'm just crazy that way) they do as previously stated fail towards the end but nontheless they are worth reading, also if i were you i'd try to get my hands on the recordings of the original radio series (i've only heard season 1 :sad: )
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I read ringworld a couple of weeks ago, its worth reading but it's not an epic. Despite some nice ideas which i wont mention because they're spoilers :anime: (then again I read it straight after reading Dune so it was kind of overshadowed)
Dont know about the rest of the series though.
