October is the BEST month for anime.

I was excited for Death Note.

Even happier when the fillers for Naruto ends soon.

Then I heard about D. Gray-man Anime airing on Oct. 3. I was wild with excitement.

    Now I am... I don't know.

For those who don't know what BR is

One day, Muto Kazuki, a high school boy, saves a girl being assaulted by a big monster, but he is stabbed to death by the monster. However, the next morning, he finds he is alive. He wanders it was just a dream, but he meets the monster again, and he realizes his death is real. He and his sister get into a scrape, but suddenly, a girl in the dream appears. She explains him that the monster is a Homunculus made by alchemy. She also tells him that there is Kakugane in his chest in place of the heart. It is an alloy made by alchemy, too, and it is the only weapon to fight against Homunculus. Using the power of Kurogane, he beats the monster and saves his sister.

    Taken from BK on ANN

It's from the creator of Rurouni Kenshin

    Yeah the anime is coming.

October is going to be AWESOME!!!

    It is a must watch.

But I am guessing it will be licensed very quickly.

Hmmm, looks like due to the success of FMA, we're gonna see a lot more alchemy inspired animes...which is a good thing because alchemy is just downright cool. ;3

Oh and look! They're using what homunculi really are! =D (they're really sorta like a golem in real alchemy. Check it out on wiki ;3) not that I don't love the FMA homunculi XD

it looks like it more based on the elements of real alchemy than FMA was (and Arakawa came out and said in the first volume of the FMA manga that the alchemy in FMA isn't that much like real alchemy at all =D) which is actually really appealing to me.

Looks really cool. I'll have to check it out. Any plans for the manga to come overseas?

It's here already. I have the manga volume 1. Volume 2 is out already this month atleast.

Just need to wait for them to sub it. Someone HAS to do it.

Ahhhh. I assume Viz is doing it? Sounds like something they would put under their Shounen Jump Advanced titles...like D. Gray-man.

that would also explain why I haven't heard of it yet as I haven't read SJ in months. =P

I was told about D. Gray-man by a RL buddy.

Thus far the raw is available of ep 1. May take some time to sub the music.

I want to know what "Makka Na Chikai" by Yoshiki Fukuyama and "Hoshiakari" by Jyukai sound like. The intro and ending.

Except that it also serves to give it a "been there, done that" sort of feel. Watsuki's behind it all, so I suppose I'll give it a fair shot.

That's actually what I was thinking at first too till I thought it over a bit more. Yes, what you're saying is true but at the same time, FMA isn't even much like real alchemy. Sure, every single one of those symbols is a real one used in alchemy, and there are actually a few scriptures in a book or two and on a piece of paper that are actually from real alchemy books (the beginner's book to Alchemy Ed and Al have in episode 3, and Ed's certificate that says he has become a state Alchemist) but there isn't much else. So I think there's still the possibility for an anime to follow real alchemy more closely, or even put it's OWN unique spin on it and not have the 'been there, done that feel'.

Unless it has hand clapping and fire made by snapping fingers. =/

    Not that I have read.

Thus far I have noticed there is some alchemist with the Homunculus and then the weapon Busou Renkin. I have only read book 1. Who knows what else there will be.

I don't know what group is subbing it yet. :( Atleast I can still read the manga until it is out.

    BUMP

Time for another anime. This one is from the same creator as Kenshin.

Just in case some people are lazy Busou Renkin is about...

Week 5: Negima!? (Akamatsu Ken Works Forum)
Week 6: Please Twins (licensed/Anime Forum)
Week 7: Night Head Genesis (Fansub Forum)
    Week 8: Monster ( 20th Century Boys & Monster)

Okay I like this series a lot. There are plenty of twist and turns along the way. But for now the first episode.
