Final Fantasy Clan Wars

In the world of Ivalice, there is a way of life called ‘clans’. People form clans, do missions and battle each other. It’s a mostly fun and interesting way of life, although it can also be dangerous.

Right now there are ‘Clan Wars’ going on over clan turf. The best thing to do is avoid this sort of thing and stick to fun missions, where you really can help people.

Point of this RPG

In case you don’t know, this is an RPG based off the game Final Fantasy Tactics Advance for the Game Boy Advance. The point of the RPG will be to make clans with your friends and perform the series of missions posted up the GM, myself. Currently there will only be five open slots for clans. I strongly discourage everyone to try and make their own clan, the point of the game is to make clans with YOUR FRIENDS.

This is also why I’m encouraging you to invite members that don’t usually stop by the RPG forum to come and join your clans. =)

The clan leader will be the person who makes it. Everyone within the clan is equal however.

The people of Ivalice.
The people of Ivalice are split into 5 races, each with their own classes and abilities.

Humans
Generic, well-rounded characters that can take a wide variety of jobs.
Class Choices:
Soldier – master techniques to slow and damage opponents
Archer – essential for long-range combat
White Mage – uses white magic to heal and aid allies
Black Mage – wields fire, ice and lightning magic
Thief – takes enemy’s items away and evade attacks
Fighter – Masters the use of many swords for offense
Paladin – Wards off attacks and aids allies
Blue Mage – Unique among mages. Can ‘learn’ monsters techniques
Hunter – Human warrior that hunts monsters by bow. (it captures monster you can raise!)
Ninja – Uses ninja skills and double skills
Illusionist -

Moogles
A typcial moogle animist
They specialize in jobs of dexterity that involve engineering or deftness of hand.
Class Choices:
Black Mage – Wields fire, ice and lightning magic
Thief – Takes enemy’s items away and evades attacks
Animist – Moogle that borrows strength from animals
Gunner – Uses guns made by moogle machinists
Time Mage – Mage masters of time and space.
Gadgeteer -
Juggler – Festive moogle job. Attacks and entertains.
Mog Knight – Small moogle warriors with brave hearts.

Viera
Typical Viera Archer
Tall and slender rabbit-like women. They specialize in fencing, archery, and natural magic, along with other jobs based on agility and spiritual links. Vieras have the highest average species speed out of the five.
Class choices:
Fencer – Uses rapier for accurate, elegant combat.
Archer – Archers are essential for long-range combat.
White Mage – use white magic to heal and aid allies
Red Mage – Uses black, white and red magic.
Summoner – Calls forth wondrous creatures from the ether
Sniper – Hunts with the powerful greatbow
Elementalist – Turns the power of nature spirits into magic
Assassin -

Bangaa
This is NOT flattering picture XD
Reptilian creatures with immense strength. They specialize in fighting jobs. They consider it an insult to be called a "lizard", presumably because that compares them to less intelligent, albeit similar creatures- much like how in reality it is offensive for humans to be called a 'monkey' or 'primate'.
Class Choices:
White Monk – Bangaa that use their fists as weapons
Warrior – Bangaa fighter that use 1 and 2-handed weapons
Gladiator – Wielders of the magical ‘spellswords’
Defender -
Dragoon – also known as ‘Lancer’ strong fighter who uses lances and harpoon techniques.
Bishop -
Templar -

Nu mou
A typical Nu Mou sage
Stout, dog-like creatures with long floppy ears. They specialize in the magical fields, and don't have a single melee-based class they can choose.
Class Choices:
Black Mage – Wields fire, ice and lightning magic
White Mage – use white magic to heal and aid allies
Beastmaster – these nu mou can control creatures at will
Morpher - Nu mou who can take a captured monster’s form. (the form of the monsters caught by a Hunter in other words!)
Alchemist -
Time Mage - Mage masters of time and space.
Illusionist -
Sage -

Note: I will make only a FEW exceptions and let other races have the jobs they normally can’t have. For example my human character is a Dragoon. I MAY allow it, I’ll have to look it over, tho I prefer you would not. I am allowing this somewhat because in the game, the human character Ritz is a Fencer and has Viera classes. This is because Ritz is accepted into an all Viera clan and is considered ‘blessed by the viera gods’. (“If humans reject you, you will always have the vieras.”) My Dragoon character was raised by bangaas, hence her ability to have this job. But once again I would prefer it if I did not have this sort of thing happen. If there is a job you want, be that race. I’d like to see not just humans in the game, all right?

The World of Ivalice
Ivalice is filled with many places, where your clan can get missions and fulfill them.

Towns
Cyril – Busy town. The monster bank is on its outskirts.
Sprohm – Bangaa mountain town. Home to the prison.
Baguda port – Moogle town with a large mercantile airship port
Cadoan – Nu mou town. The seat of knowledge and alchemy.
Muscadet – Mainly viera town hidden deep in the woods.
Bervenia Palace – Capital of Ivalice. The palace lies at its center.

Plains
Giza Plains – Rolling grassy plains. Muscmaloi grows here.
Aisenfield –Plains where the thirteen knights of legend fought.
Deti Plains – Flatlands of yellow sand and red earth. Amber can often be found here among the rocks.
Ozmonfield – Gently rolling plains with occasional insect plagues.

Woods
Nubswood – Deep, dark forest. Popular hideout for thieves.
Koringwood – Refreshing wood filled with ambient pure magic.
Salikawood – The chirping of birds can always be heard here. An abandoned keep stands in the middle of the woods.
Materiwood – Lush green forest famous for its materite ore.

Swamps and River areas
Ulei River – Largest river in Ivalice. Winds through swamplands.
Uladon Bog – Deep and dangerous bogland dotted with islands.

Mountains, valleys, etc
Lutia Pass – Much-traveled pass, with the occasional roadshop
Roda Volcano – Volcano asleep for 300 years. Recently active.
Kudik Peaks – Towering peaks. Home to an endangered tiger.
Siena Gorge – Deep Valley. A source of amber, like Deti Plains.
Ambervale – Beautiful valley where the rocks glow amber. The kings of Ivalice had a summer palace here. (NOTE: This place you CANNOT go to. =) )

Deserts
Eluut Sands – Dangerous desert; home to many fiends and treasures.
Jeraw Sands – Hot sands blow in this largest desert in Ivalice.
Gotor Sands – Desert famous for its mirages and red chocobos.
Delia Dunes – Desert area famous for its barking sands. Said to be formed from a celestial beast’s bones.

Caves
Nargai cave – A cool wind blows from inside this cave. An ancient city is said to sleep in its depths.
Tubola Cave – These caves were once mined for mythril.

The Jagds….where no laws apply…
Note: The Jagds are the only place in Ivalice a judge won’t go to. Because of this, when people die in battle, they stay dead, as it is the judge who brings everyone back to life at the end of the battle. Avoid the Jagds as much as possible!!
Jagd Dorsa – Lawless ‘jagd’. A deserted town.
Jagd Ahli – Lawless ‘jagd’ destroyed by its own wild magic.
Jagd Helje – Lawless ‘jagd’ where ghostly voices are heard.

My characters

Name: Roxanne

Clan: White Dragons

Age: 19

Job: Dragoon

Appearance: short brown hair, dark blue eyes. Always wears navy blue, women’s chest armor, with a white cape and a white skirt underneath that is split on the sides. Knee high gladiator, steel boots. Wears a strange looking tiara/forehead protector made of silver that goes up into peaks at her ears. Silver hoop earrings

Personality: rather snide and opinionated. She hates being patronized and looked down upon. She has a quick temper and will draw her lance on anyone that provokes it. She seems like a hard ass, but in reality she has a soft side, and can be quite kind.

Likes: Bangaas, justice, fighting, snakes and other lizards. Open, forest areas. Over all, she loves winning.

Dislikes: losing, people that get in her way, dark, cramped places. Idiotic people, trouble makers, whose who disturb the peace, criminals.

History: Abandoned by her parents when she was a baby, Roxanne was raised by Bangaas in Sprohm. Her ‘father’ was in charge of the prison at that time. Because she was raised by Bangaas, Roxanne excelled in bangaa classes, and ultimately chose dragoon as a job. Once she turned 16, she worked in the prison, but did not enjoy it much. At 18 she left the prison to from a clan with her moogle friend Molly. Originally, her intent was to find her real parents, but then an escaped prisoner killed her father. Now she is trying to hunt down that prisoner.

Name: Molly

Clan: White Dragons

Age: 15

Gender: female

Race: Moogle

Job: Gunner

Appearance: small, white and fluffy. Unlike most moogles, she has short, human like blonde hair that is flipped out. She wears the traditional burgundy and brown gunner’s cap and, and the rest of the traditional gunner attire, a large brown coat, and gray fingerless gloves. She also wears a brown undershirt, and a yellow and red scarf. Her eyes are a beady black/

Personality: Hyper active and jumpy. Molly is beyond sweet. Out of nowhere she’ll come up with these brilliant sayings, but then will return to good ol’ silly Molly. Always happy and bouncy. She’s also obsessed with guns. (Kinda like Winry Rockbell from FMA but with guns) In battle she’s dubbed ‘Banzai Moogle!’ because eof her excited battle style.

Likes: Kupo nuts, Roxanne, guns, forests, sweet tasting things, just hanging out.

Dislikes: Prison, people being wrongfully imprisoned, the majority of Bangaas with exception to Roxanne’s family, vain Vieras, being called cutie, sharp things (cause they’re not guns!) Being made of for her hair.

History: Molly used to be in an all moogle clan with her family. Back when she was 12 she was in a battle, and her father saved her at the expense of breaking a level 5 law, which got him sent automatically to prison. Molly went to visit her father everyday during his imprisonment (which was only a few months) and there met Roxanne, who she befriended. Molly started out being very rude to bangaas but eventually learned that they weren’t the mean brutes she thought they were from Roxanne’s family. Her family’s clan began to fall apart in those few months her father was gone, and even when he was released, the clan broke up. Finally Molly decided to make a new clan with Roxanne and now helps her in both finding her parents and the criminal that killed her father.

First Character

Name: Ditante

Clan: White Dragons

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Job: Black Mage

Appearance: Has long black hair with blue aqua streaks. Her eyes match the color of the aqua streaks. She has pale skin. She has silver hoop earrings and knee high silver boots which match the earrings. She wears a long black robe and black witch style hat. There are traces of silver embroidered in the robe but you can’t see it unless you are up close.

Personality: Isn’t your typical black mage. She has no temper and a kind heart. She likes to joke around a lot. She also can get very serious when she feels like it. She has a habit of doing what she feels like no matter who objects.

Likes: Ditante likes towns. She loves to watch the busy races. She likes a harp of sorts that she brings around (It is a u-shape and small). She can stroke a beautiful melody. She also likes snakes, rodents, bugs, lizards, and anything that goes creepy crawly. She also likes to fight but she hates to admit it. She also likes chocobos.

Dislikes: She dislikes her past which she doesn’t say too much about. She also dislikes criminals, swamps, and deserts (even though there are red chocobos). She also dislikes certain foods.

History: Ditante met Roxanne and Molly in passing. She was delivering a criminal and over heard their plan. She just invited herself in. She gave Molly something sweet and some kupo nuts to butter her up.

She was doing odd jobs (like capturing criminals) when she met Molly and Roxanne. She hasn’t belonged to a clan in a while. Her old clan was massacred. She says that they were “defeated” by the man that sort of matched Roxanne description of the one who killed her father. Ditante isn’t sure if this is coincidence or not. She isn’t entirely sure if they are the same person. She has told Molly and Roxanne that "I am looking for the man who matches your discription to mine. He is the one who destroyed my clan."

Ditante didn’t say much about her past. A small red chocobo follows behind. She saved the little guy from harm. She assumes the chocobo lost his parents. She calls him Choc. She got Choc from the Gotor Sands when she visited there once. She never wants to go back so Choc is kind of stuck with her. (If this is alright FR)

She learned to be a Black Mage by her father. She doesn’t tell anything else other then that.

She plays her Urp (U-shaped Harp) to keep her bad dreams away. It also calms those around her. It probably is why Choc sort of stuck with her.

Name: Laranthen Yami Vonox (Or is just called Yami since his first name is hard to say)

Clan: None but wants to be in a clan

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Job: Fighter

Appearance: Long shiny black hair that goes down to his hips and is pulled and tied in the back while the front falls some what in front of his eyes and face. His face is that of a young man as his eye color is a dark green and his eyes are a little narrow, making his stare a little bit scary as his eye brows are thin as well. He wears a black open trench coat that goes down to almost ground level but just above the ankles and on the back is the Japanese symbol for evil in white; thin black cargo pants that seem small in size when compared to other pants but still the same length; black long sleeve shirt under the trench coat that have a white X on the front that goes around him to the back, forming a white X on both sides; and he wears black shoes that have no laces that seem like leather shoes.

Weapon: He uses a Chinese Tachi called a Wato. The blade is Japanese but the handle is Chinese with a small rope connected to the bottom of the hilt. The blade is 30 inches long. He carries the Wato in a long black bag with a rope around the top where the opening of the bag is so that the Wato stays in and so that he can carry it over his shoulder with the rope.

Personality: He is calm, cold and self center so he almost never gets angry at anything. He finds the job of a fighter nice but doesn’t have very much of a rep with anything. He also only takes jobs that interest him. He is more of a secretive person, not saying much of whom he is or where he’s from as he also holds secrets behind his past.

Likes: Being a secret to people, varys

Dislikes: Being known, varys

History: Laranthen Yami Vonox didn’t always be much like he is now. He use to be full of emotion and was a very happy person. At the young age of four, he was introduced to fighting with swords called Wato in the style named Watojutsu. He used swords quite well and mastered Watojutsu at the age of 19, becoming a master of swords too. Afterward, he became a fighter but disappeared from records completely, thus making him unknown in the eyes of almost everyone on the planet. He remain disappeared, doing things that no one seems to know anything about and reappeared six years later, still as a fighter and looking for jobs, even joining a clan. His tastes in things seem to vary from time to time and is barely seen by anyone really as he also disappears between accepting a job and then coming back when its finished.

 

Second Character

Name: Genatros

Clan: None at the moment

Age: 23

Gender: Female

Race: Viera

Job: Assassin

Appearance: She has long pure white hair that falls past her waist. She doesn’t have bangs. She has golden colored eyes. Considering she is a Viera she looks like a rabbit woman. Her skin is a golden tan. Her ears match her skin. There are long floppy bunny ears that stand straight up on her head.

Her outfit is a black armor with golden trim. It covers her upper body, gives her a skirt, forearm protector, collar, wrist protectors, knee plate, and thigh and shin protector. She doesn’t wear shoes.

Personality: She has two personalities. Her first personality is kind and sweet. She is willing to help anyone in this state. She has a sweet smile and can see like a bird.

The next personality is when she is in the “Shinigami” (read History for more) state it is a ruthless killer. Hard, cold, and cruel that is how she is when she is the Shinigami. She won’t kill innocent people but in this state and she has never been caught by someone who was innocent.

Likes: Birds. In both states she loves birds. She also doesn’t like secrets. She likes guns and swords.

Dislikes: She dislikes the name Shinigami. (I’ll add more once I think of more)

History: Genatros is the infamous assassin that people have dubbed Shinigami (god of death). No one knows that is what they call her. For no one has lived who has seen her as the Shinigami because she is too crafty. She kills people for money as long as they have done something bad.

She wears a black suit which covers her armor. She has on a black mask. It is her Shinigami outfit.

Her past really isn’t known and she doesn’t say anything about it. She has amnesia. All she remembers was two years ago when she learned she could fight and handle most weapons. She can hit a target at an unbelievable far range even covered with guards.

 

Oh, I forgot to mention something, all vieras have white hair. =( (and it can't change because it is a big thing empasized in the game) Other than that, your character is good and is accepted Basher.

Lance's characetr is also accepted. =)

Race:Bangaa

Job:Templar

Appearance:Aksel is 6'5" tall and weighs 386 pounds. He has the typical orange bangaa skin but deep noticible scars are scattered over his body. He has very large ears and big tail which is common to most Bangaa.

Personality:Aksel is very distrusting and only trusts very few people. He is also a coldhearted person but is kind to Vieras and some Humans. Has a deep hate for Nu Mou's and will not hesitate to attack it. He seeks out justice for everyone and will take punishing wrongdoers into his own hands.

Likes:Vieras, Humans

Dislikes:Nu Mou, some moogles

History:Aksel was once a fun loving caring Bangaa who lived his life happily in his clan that he lived with since he was a young Bangaa which was like a family to him. One night while he and his clan were out gathering food for a long designation-less journey when they were ambushed by a very large group of Nu Mou and some Moogles. There were around 60 of them (he later found out their clan name was Clan Deathscythe) and only14 in his clan. They captured all of his clan mates and he sat in front of them watching them get tortured to death. The Nu Mou and Moogles laughed at him and slowly tortured him too when another large Clan of Vieras and some humans came (who appeared to be tracking down the clan of nu mous) and the clan of nu mous retreated leaving him half dead. The clan of vieras (Clan Hope) spent 2 months healing him to full health and they wanted him to stay with their clan for a while but Aksel refused because he didnt want to be a burden to them and they had already done so much for him. He has been a wanderer going from town to town searching for the clan seeking vengeance for his dead friends.

Most Viera hair is a purple-white or blue-white... read your own reference. Very few have actual pure white hair.

 

Hey FR I need a little help with the info on the jobs Alchemist and Sage. Like what is it exactly. I read it. It was like some of this job and some of that job and I was like huh?

 

yeah I know what you mean. - -;; You're gonna have to wait a while tho, because I'm using the descriptions of the jobs used in the game, and you can only see those when you get a character who can have that job.

So right now i'm working on getting Sage and Alchemist, I actually got all but one of the bangaa jobs now....but I don't have my game here. XDDD
it's baaaaaaaaaaaaaad that i was never good with Nu mous. ><

Clan: Devil Chimera

Age: 60 (Ages about 3 times faster then humans.)

Gender: Male

Race: Nu Mou

Job: Alchemist

Appearance: Like most Nu Mou in size (half the size of humans) and appearance. Wears the traditional Alchemist clothes but they are green and blue. Look at picture.


Personality: Though Oca is 60 he acts like he is twenty. He is calm and deeply focused at times. He isn’t trusting.

Likes: Cheese, magic, Viera

Dislikes: Some Humans. He can’t hate them all. Due to his wisdom he knows not all humans are bad.

History: Oca was once considered a promising young student destined to become the youngest in the Kiltean teachings. But a tragedy in his life forever changed him. When he was around 15 the rest of his clan was killed off by humans. It changed him. He never carried for anything to much anymore.

He created the Golden Phoenix to start a new. He felt that it was time to try trusting others again.

Age: 37
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Job: Fighter
Appearance: He has bright brown curly hair that is short and is just above his ears and he has hazel colored eyes. He wears black hakama with a dark blue shirt, large in the sleeves and opened at the front much like a “V” shaped down to his stomach. He carries on his back a Bokken about three shaku long but in truth, it is a disguised Odachi.
Personality: He is of the more subtle type. He will not allow a person to make fun of him for any reason and will fight anyone that provokes him. If Higa is provoked by someone, Higa will kill the person, even if the person is a family member or close friend. People have a hard time working with him because of his way to get jobs done, in the shadows and subtle. He prefers to work alone and when on a job, will kill anyone that crosses his path, friend or foe.
Likes: He likes to be subtle, alone and getting things done instead of just sitting around.
Dislikes: He doesn’t like dragging things on, being around people and just sitting about.
History: Almost nothing is known of him during his young years as a child and teen but he became known at the age of 23 for killing over one hundred men in less than two minutes in fair combat using Jujutsu and Iai-do. He became feared and respected by many because of his skill in combat and his subtle personality. He mastered both forms less than two years later and was known greatly for his skill using an Odachi. Over the next few years, he was very subtle with all jobs he took and seemed to never be there at all most of the time since he did his work in the shadows. He was later named Kagekira, Shadow killer, as the number of his kills reached four digits at the age of 30, around the time of his birthday. Later on over the years, his activates became more silent and deadly, his kills growing rapidly and by the time he turned 37, his kills reached five digits. His skill in Jujutsu and Iai-do are famous for his precise attacks and skill in combat. Over time, people feared saying his name altogether, very few ever spoke of him after he reached the age of 30 and no one knows where he goes. The only thing commonly known about him is his title, his styles, and his kill rate.
