Video Games Best Race for WoW classes?

for alliance, the racials really don't enter in as heavily as horde side (in my opinion, the orc bonus makes hunter the better choice. alliance really has nothing like that.)

i find it's just easier to pick something that has an area you don't mind wandering around in for the first 5-10 levels, after which you can move anywhere really. (those first few you're better off sticking it out for the quests, you can always wander over to another areas starting area after that and still get the rep.)

and also, something you'll be happy with staring at lol.

myself, i just like night elves, though i also have a bunch of humans. i love druid, rogue and hunter, so i have lots of thsoe for alts. (i also have mages and priests, and really need to give mage a fighting chance. shammy just didn't do it for me, same with pally)

mostly, alts are just something to play around with so you can see how other classes or build would work. i have a second druid, for example, who i'm leveling up as restoration, as opposed to balance. i've noticed a big difference so far too. but that's also related to how i play. rogue, i keep heading down combat, because i've really fallen in love with that tree. (though i have another rogue on lothar, Vetinari, going down subtilty. which is an odd change from a sword rogue )

 

well, if it's onyl an alt, make one and play around and see if you like it. if not, delete and remake, just don't invest money into gear and such. or at least, don't fire off money from a main for that purpose lol. if a racial just doesn't suit you or is useless to you, then try another.

and don't forget, nightelves can also see stealthed things too. ^^ and improved sprint can break movement impairments. (2 pts = 100% of the time on activation)

 

Rogue choices:

Human
+10% Reputation - a plus if you plan on grinding rep, otherwise worthless
+5 swords/maces - a PvE plus against higher level mobs. This + 2/2 WE is enough to offset glancing blows against boss mobs
+5% Spirit - worthless

Dwarf
Stoneform - a nice thing to have PvP to cleanse poison and bleeding right before vanishing for a clean getaway. An all-around decent thing for any class PvE
Find Treasure - pretty lame, especially if you're using any gathering skill that "tracks" things on the mini-map
+5 Guns - Rogues are all about melee, so this is near worthless
+10 Frost Resist - neglible gain

Gnome
+5% Intellect - worthless
Escape Artist - Amazing in PvP. You can spec Imp Sprint or use Vanish of course, but why not all three? Good for many PvE encounters as well
+15 Engineering - take this as you will
+10 Arcane Resist - neglible gain

Night Elf
Shadowmeld - This passively boosts your stealth level, which helps in both PvE/PvP
+1% dodge - small, but it counts
Wisp Form - faster death recovery, woot
+10 Nature Resist - neglible gain

Also to think upon is that all races have different starting stats, even though the same gains are given from leveling. It is minor, but worth noting, for instance that NE's are about 1dps higher than their human counterparts at 60, just from the starting stat distribution, although a dwarf at same level will have more health.

 

i personally like druid, but i also like being flexable, so it suits me well. so, might wanna try that if you make a cow, since only night elves and tauren are druids. =3

i call em cows, and that's that. =3 my main is a druid, so i've always delt with them. and my ass has been saved alot by them. (there ARE ways you can help the opposite factions heh)

 

Warstomp for the win, especially if the decision of race is holding up your choice for a druid character. I have both a NE and Tauren druid, and I enjoyed the Tauren so much more from that single racial alone. 3 second stun is enough to cast one more healing touch.
