    tonight at midnight! =3

and then...repatching to current (at least it's only like, 1 or 2 patches)...and then...the lines. lol

thank GOD lothar finally got locked down <3!!

time to see the influx in shaman and pallys o_O! and the mass hysteria of finding out if outlands can support the population flood that's going to hit it, or if it'll drop like kalimdor on an AQ opening event. heh

They've already implemented the new talent trees with patch 2.0.1

I think I can wait until tomorrow after work. I have a copy reserved.

if it's like most stores, reserves are guarenteed. so they won't be sold, no matter what.

new druid and rogue trees are very nice =3 the way they tweeked balance makes me stay even moreso there, but i STILL have to go restoration for omen of clarity. i cannot live without that spell. =3 (and rora became more of a lawnmower. <3 rogue. new bottom combat skills=<33333!!!)

Starting areas for the new races are a hostile mess. Everyone is too worried about grinding and griefing to get anything done. The outlands are a hostile mess. Everyong is too worried about grinding and greifing to get anything done.

All in all I'm gonna avoid the new material for a while. It's a crowded mess.

Not sure on that. But I don't think that would be an issue. Just areas maybe.

All I can tell you is there was a lot of people on. It was crazy. I wished my boyfriend captured an image near the gate. A bunch of Alliance were there. It was just full of skeltons. We play horid.

It wasn't bad because we had respawns quick like.

You should have no problems partying with Blood Elves or Draenai(sp?).

You'll be able to see the new models and textures, and I'm fairly certain you can even get your hands on new items (jewelcrafting, anyone?) up to level 60. And you'll even be able to get ganked by the new races in PvP, isn't that swell? You just won't be able to enter the new Azeroth zones or the Dark Portal.

Remember that massive 2.0 patch we had a couple of months ago? It included all the models and textures for the new races and whatnot.

On Windrunner, it was just nuts in Hellfire Peninsula. A huge population of players and a small handful of quests turned into a huge every-man-for-himself situation alongside very large lag.

I can't say I completed many quests last night. Instead, most of my guild was jumping headlong into the 5-man instances, where lag was far more tolerable. We ran Ramparts twice, then Blood Furnace before riding off to Zangarmarsh to check out the Slave Pens in Coilfang Reservoir.

On that note, Zangarmarsh seemed far less populated with everyone in Hellfire - it might pay off to begin questing there if the lag continues on the Peninsula. And...go check out Ironforge now that the Outland is open. It went from lag central to a ghost town. Spooky. :)

I was actually surprised at how smooth the launch day went. I was expecting frequent downtime, but the server stayed up my entire play time.

heh actually, they were slipping it in bit by bit. 2.0 added the final graphics, but sounds and that came a few patches before (i check my patch files once and awhile. ripping out sounds. (don't ask. try mod sites) i have the last speech from the ashbringer sword as my shutdown, and the silly from the felguard as my start up. have since i got them, which is before the last patch where the imp got his speech (not sure if fel talks yet or not actually o_O;)) and am so glad to hear the sillies i liked are still in so far =3 (the blood elf male singing "don't cha" doesn't seem to be there that i've noticed though ;-;)

anyways, lothar so far has had ironforge RAPED by kruul during his wanderings. heh

my only complaint is that they didn't split the new areas in azeroth from the ones in outlands. they're on the same server. sooo, if 9million people make dranei (this is my observation on lothar. more dranei...o_O), and the rest go to outlands, well, you "get the crash the dranei speak of" (to quote someone in general) and rolling restarts. they should just use 2 new ones, and do it like kalimdor and azeroth. (like, when aq came out, kalimdor dropped. all servers did it. there's really no doubt in my mind. if you were on kalimdor that night, you were screwed. make a dwarf lol.)

but, the new areas are very pretty. outlands is gorgeous. (you can be stepped on and killed btw or so my husband was warned lol)

oh, and if you haven't, make a blood elf rogue and stealth. don't move. it's awesome and i wish all rogues did that in stealth =3 (it just looks right)

B I am playing a Blood Elf Rogue also. <3

I heard that one store had reserves for 154 games. I kind of want to know the figures on the first day sale. 8 billion people active 15 bucks a month is just so much money. Though maintaining it must cost a good chunk.

yeah, when you get down to it: the server farms, staff pay, devolping stuff, buy ing equipment, maintaining said equipment and god only knows what else.

in reality, for what we pay, we really get a crap ton of stuff out of them. i mean, most MMOs would have charged for the AQ content for example.

hell, if we could donate for newer and better servers, i'd be for it, if it meant my server stays up and not full. (would never happen plus the cries of "blizz is greedy *****s" (only with worse spelling))

i likes my draenei hunter =3

our software had 60 sp. reserves, and over 130 regular reserves over here in bismarck. so, that number just seems right really =3
