Has anyone seen this movie or read the book?

I have yet to see it. I want to but for some reason I just don't know if I can start liking another series.

Tell me what ya think if you saw it anyway.

I saw it the other night. There are some good parts of the movie, I'll give it that. However, in my opinion, the storyline moved incredibly fast. Its like everything happened in two or three days. Oh, and the ending is not what you might expect. Overall, it was descent.

Eh, I didn't find it very suspenseful until around the end. :-\

I've seen the movie and I'm currently reading the book. I found that the movie did went by pretty fast until some time after the first part of the movie, then it seemed to be moving good. I could see why some of the begining was quick like the Shade getting the woman because what happened in the book was rather boring, and there wasn't much to go on unless you wanted to re-do the scene. Over all of the movie, I found it was pretty good.

I'm a little disappointed in the book though as I excepted it to be more detailed. I haven't read that much of it so I could change my mind about it not being very detailed some time soon.

I'm guessing its because i haven't read the book, but i thought the story was actually quite slow, and the parts that would kind of keep you interested were a bit few and far between. I thought Jeremy Iron's was good though, and the dragon was good as well. I couldn't help but a gree with the girls going "awww" when she first hatchs, it was quite cute:shy2: .

I borrowed the book from the library. You know to be safe. I read the first few chapters and then saw the movie.

Considering I have not read the book all the way I thought it was okay. I liked how the beginning flowed. To me the ending was rushed. I also felt Eragon should have been more conflicted.

It was a good movie, if you never read the book, or wern't to into the book. The story line changed quite a bit, and I found myself going, "Hey, they skipped this, I really wanted to see that part" or something like that.

The graphics are amazing, but I guess it was just a bit hard to follow for me.

Haven't seen the movie; tried to read the book but couldn't get past page 60 for the horrible writing style and awful ripoff of anything famous from the past fifty years.

As of yet there is no confirmation of a sequal, but there is deffinatly the possibility of there being another 2 films. The Third book in the series has yet to be released or named.
Even though i didn't think the film was that great, i think that at least for the fans of the film and books there should be another 2 films as the end of the first one is not really a place to finish the series. But i strongly beleive there will be another film at least, considering how the last one finished.

I read the first two books (third hasn't come out yet), but haven't seen the movie. The books were okay for a teenage author (crazy, huh?), but very reminiscent of many other things.

Oh, and the "ancient language" is mostly Gaelic (old Irish). PLAGIARISM!
