I've never been a huge Eva fan, but I suppose this sounds like fun. To me Eva has always kinda been one of those "Boy gets his Dad's giant robot- rampaging ensues" series. The whole series was littered with issues and the fact that the ending was so... Retarded? threw the entire thing off for me. This news makes me kinda wonder why they're revisiting it once again.

o_O So... We're all hoping it wont be so sucky the second time around, right?

    ...Right?

Well, to be perfectly honest, Evangelion was one of my favorite shows of all time; then again, I went into it hoping for a character-driven plot, and that's exactly what I got. The one thing that knocked it down a few notches from the top of my list was the constant and exclusive use of Freud-isms. But if you were watching the show as the development of the character Shinji as a person, the ending made perfect sense and, while it may not have been climactic, it was certainly human, and a wonderful ending for that particular progression. (I personally didn't like the portrayal of the events in the movies, but that's just me.)

I am curious about this, but apprehensive. As I mentioned just there, the last time they attempted a retelling, I didn't like it. I'm hoping this will be better than that, at least.

Already waiting for it. I also wanted to see what it would look like on better resolution, who knows, considering the year it's being released, and the new formats coming in, even High Definition!

Isn't this the third time now? Or fourth? The first half of "Death & Rebirth" was a compiled clip show. "End of Evangelion" was an alternate ending for the final two episodes.

I wasn't a huge Eva fan yet there was also appeal at one time for me in the series. But there's a limit to how much retelling I can tolerate.

But forget Rebuild, what ever happened to the live action movie that was previously announced in the works?

This is just a fanmade teaser trailer, but doesn't it just hype you up to want to see the real thing on the silver screen? ^^

Nice. That was the funniest thing I've seen in a while. It wasn't too bad, save for the Mr. Smith with the badly drawn in beard. I'd be kinda cool when they did go through with it, but they'd have to do it right, no doubt about that. Nothing like the Street Fighter Movie.

Utada made a great song for the intro. Not nearly as classic as "A Cruel Angel's Thesis", but I thoroughly enjoy listening to it.

I can't wait to see it, if only to see animation that's not as sloppy as the original.

Whoo, latest post in about a year!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to it. I got to watch the entire series again while at camp, and really got into it after the second time. As long as I can find it for free online, I'm down. :p
