Anime Afro Samurai

Adapted from a doujinshi. Produced by the anime studio Gonzo. Voice acting by Samual L. Jackson. Music by the RZA. Five episodes costing 1 million each to produce. It is being aired this month on SpikeTV and Fuji Television. That third episode was just something else.

 

Hmmm... I really was interested in seeing that show... but I never got the times or anything so it slipped out of my mind. Meh, tell me if anythign good happens.

I saw first episode I like it But it might be a little too ... How do you say in some words disguesting but i can live with it =O but just Barely Heads.. =(

One MIL per episode!?

Samuel Jackson wasn't really great at it, I mean, he voice ninja-ninja (his subconscious self) more than Afro himself, and when he DID do Afro, he simply mutters, and it's hard to tell it's him.

Animation is top notch however, fights are some of the best seen not only in anime, but anywhere. This really is a good Anime, but I wouldn't pay a mil per episode to make it....

So how great is it? Is it really any good? I have been so out of touch when it comes to anime.

 

It good. If you like blood and action, this one's for you. If you're into a good plot, it's for you, but not if you like those deeper meanings other bloody anime have such as Elfen Leid or Neon Genesis Evangelion. Not saying that it's bad, but it's really not hard to understand either.

If I had to rate it, I'd give it a 4 out of 5.
