Hehe...my self splurge for my birthday this year - a full set of the original 12 SMJ novels. :)

Guess I know what I've got planned for my spare time for the next long while - translating 12 books that each clock in over 210 pages. ^^

    Woooow!!!

 Do my eye decieve me!??? That is indeed a great treasure any SMJ fan could ever have! I thought those things were extinct!
I only have traces of that work in my SMJ data base, please tell us all about it when you're done.

Hey do you guys remember about the rumor that surfaced a few years back (I think it was in 2002)... There was a rumor that Mr. Akahori made 3 additional novels for SMJ, if I remember correctly it was entitled "The rise and fall of..." some school institute... (I forgot:p, I will look it up on my SMJ data bin). It was suppopsed to be the fabled "SMJ 2", but the site that reported it closed down years ago. By chance, did some of the copy made it to you??? I would like to know because until now I'm still haunted by that rumor.

I will definitely share when I'm done. It's proving to be a slow process, as I've never taken the time to learn to read the language and am working off kana charts, OCR, and a kanji dictionary to muddle my way through.

No rumor. It's been up on Akahori's site for years now. Although, it's about as "SMJ 2" as "SMR" was from what I understand. More like an "SM3".

I had some help making sense of his page a good while back:

Maybe I should see about tracking down that story as well - it appears that there was at least one novel, maybe more. :)

Status report - progressed a bit into last year, but had to shelve things as my free time dwindled. If anyone else is interested in working through any of this, I'm open to scanning what I have. :)

For the time being, here is the table of contents and most of the first page following - probably off a bit, but the best I've been capable with my amateur translation:

    Code:
    Table of contents (pg3)
7 Preface	The fate of six men
    15 Chapter 1	1st Appearance - Otaru and Lime
    45 Chapter 2	2nd Appearance - Otaru and Cherry
    89 Chapter 3	3rd Appearance – Otaru and Bloodberry
127 Chapter 4	The greatest plan in history (^_^)
169 Chapter 5	The greatest plan in history (^_^) Part 2
207 Chapter 6	A secret weapon saves the day
249 End Chapter	Eve of Mechanical Engineering
    253 Saber Marionette terminology
258 Round table talk from the time of the story
    (pg5)
A white, warm, soft thing reminds you of what?

    “A Marshmellow.”

Don't be silly! While that does answer the question, it's something different than that!

    “Rice Cakes.”

    It's not food!

    “A futon.”

    ................don't be so dense.

“But, that description is much too vague and unreasonable.”

Well, err...Such emotions are beyond even beginning to express. It can't be helped. I have no choice but to request a rare tale of love!
