Transformers 7/04/07 "LIVE"

The more they release new trailers, the more I am getting excited to see this version of the classic Robots in Disguise.

I really hope this works out. If SS makes this work, do I hear the words "Sequel".

Anyway---in about a week, we will find out if all the hype was worth it.

I've been stoked about this movie for months...I'm going to be one of those geeks who goes to see it on the first day out...

 

Already got mah tickets for tuesday at 8PM (Early show WoOt!) and can't wait.

Though I thought it was going to be kinda lame having the original Megatron voice actor replaced, I do find that Hugo Weaving is going to do one heck of a job!

I really want to see this, Except I thought Optimus Prime was Ultra Magnus because he's a blue semi now instead of a firetruck.

But...Ultra Magnus is the semi! DDD: *flails*

He was a firetruck in some versions if I remember. In a couple of the newer anime versions.

I'm talking to my brother right now, and he's somewhat confused as he can't quite remember. He remembers him as both a semi and a firetruck at one point or another.

Either way, Ultra Magnus was a semi too. I'm checking on wikipedia right now to see the whole deal. o_o;;;

Summer Block Buster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw the movie opening night......I can not believe how incredible the finished product looks.
This movie is beyond good. The interaction between the Robots and the humans was amazing.

There were some insider jokes for all the loyal TF fans out there. I wont give them away, but you will know them as soon as you see them.

I can not wait for the Sequel!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw this last night. Now I want to watch the Anime. xD What should I start with?

I got a good laugh after seeing this at times I want to go again. I loved the my friend part and japanese and the part when bumblebee changed. Heh.

Number 2 will be awesome. But will Megatron come back? Without a doubt huh? Doesn't he always?

Optimus Prime was a Peterbilt Truck. So semi. All the ones that I have seen he was a semi. It scared me half to death so I had to go see the movie right away, FR.

Rachet was the rescue hummer. Ultra Magnus was the Freightliner Car Carrier not even in this movie. Now I am just confused, FR.

Bumblebee is my favorite. He is the yellow and black Chevrolet Camaro. Then it is Optimus Prime. I also like Starscream.

I also liked the interaction between the humans and the robots. I liked how the robots said they learned to talk. Ironhide was the best. Heh.

Whenever I think of Optimus Prime I think of what Dane Cook said. He wanted to name his kids after the Transformers. Optimus Prime, his son. You should check out that clip it still makes me laugh.

 

I found out later that Ultra Magnus wasn't going to be in it Bashy. But I thought he was at first. DX

Whenever I think of Optimus Prime I think of what my brother just told me was on a Familky Guy episode.

"Optimus Prime, I didn't know you were Jewish!" XDDDD

 

I saw it at opening night too (8PM show WoOt!).

The movie was good, but it wasn't a big woah story wise. I mean, it was basic, which is good.

What was a WOAH is the special effects. The whole hour and a half-or-so spectacle is a jaw dropping experience, but not without flaws.

At least to me, but nearing the final battles, it seems that most transformers are, well....you can't really tell who's who. Most of the Autobots AND Decepticons are gray in their robot form. The only time you can tell who's fighting is when they're protecting the boy, or when Megatron (PWN!) fights Optimus Prime, mainly because they're both three times everyone else's size. But I didn't let that get in my way. The movie was great, but not the best I've seen, if I had to make a list of "Summer Blockbusters" I've seen (and all on opening night, wooo! )

1-Fantastic Four:Rise of the Silver Surfer (The movie's more enjoyable than all others, mainly because it doesn't take itself seriously, but still delivers on all fronts. Don't get me wrong though, this is for a one time experience, not from watching and analyzing everything)

2-Transformers (Mentioned everything above already XD)

3-Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (If it wasn't for the fact that part of the story you couldn't keep up with, AND Calypso, which the whole thing with this one was totally random, it would have been better than Transformers)

4-Spiderman 3 (I didn't think Sipdey would be my least favourite, but lets face it, director Sam Raimi dropped the ball there. All he managed was a two hour mediocre love triangle mixed with random villians thrown in [Sandman was like, "What are the odds that you went in there?", and Venom was like "What are the odds that you were there?"]. Notice almost all the aspects in the story, and it's a "What are the odds?" fest)

But now I'm getting off topic, so going back.

Transformers is one fine piece of work, and if you don't go watch it, you're part of the problem

Blackout was, by far, the coolest Transformer, behind Starscream (The dogfight? Excellent). It's nice to know that Optimus is as big a dork as I remember him being (his dialogue, xD ). Anyone else notice how his voice was exactly the same as in the series?

Funny thing though, Megatron was changed. Thout I was dissapointed in a way, since you could barely tell that was Hugo Weaving. The robot voice disguise and anger made it barely sound like him, but hey, doesn't mean he sounded bad now eh?

Sorry Seishin, but i have to disagree, My friends and I could tell the difference between the Decepticons.

It was quite an enjoyable film to watch all right.
