Anyone else watching these? Pretty cool show. It's not some overpowered pitcher or hitter either (BOO BARRY *&#&$@#*$^(@#$&@#$^@!#*&$#&^( BONDS!), as the main character's actually a Shinji-esque character who is quite good at control but crappy at fastballs. Pretty good from episodes 1-4, scoping out the rest now...

    I have not.

Is the main character like the guy from Buzzer Beater? Foul mouthed but always tries his best. Goes past him limits.

Or like Kenichi? history's strongest disciple kenichi. Tries his hardest to succeed. Fails then succeeds.

    Or something else?

Nope, he's wimpy, a crybaby, his old teams admonishes him. But he has excellent ball control. The only reason he starts to understand his abilities is because the catcher sees what he can do. It's not epic, but it is quite good.

I will admit though, his crying gets rather sickening at about episode 3. He cries, and he cries a LOT. His facial expression always looks like he's crying, as can be seen here:

I take it he is the light brown haired boy with the pink cheeks?

I know who catchers are at least.

    Yeah.

I checked it out and I must say that is defiantly a series most would like.

It would be really cool to do an Ebert & Roeper type thing all I need is an Ebert. It could do it out of five senzu beans or something like that.

So for this I would give it a “3 ½ Senzu Beans”

I agree with Izzy saying about this story defiantly isn’t epic. It’s very watchable and enjoyable although. There will be parts that annoy most. Pretty much Ren Mihashi referred to as just Mihashi cries.

I feel for Mihashi. He wasn’t given a chance to see how good he could be as a pitcher. He really does love being a pitcher. His old teammates were his enemy despite the fact that had excellent ball control. His ball control is above a pro according to the show. But it lacks speed. The catcher whose job is to give signs to the pitcher never did it at his old school. Mihashi’s cowardly personality was affected by it.

Another notable character is the catcher that helps Mihashi on his new team, Abe. Abe really sees Mihashi’s potential but like Mihashi he also has issues with his last school.

This series is about growing together which makes it great. Mihashi finally has a team that appreciates him.

One of my favorite characters is Momoe Maria, the manager. She is really extravagant. She adds a nice touch of comedy relief to the whole story. Being able to squeeze an orange till it burst.

I watched all the episodes and downloaded as much manga as I could. That’s how hooked I got on this series.

I have watched plenty of sports anime they have a habit of making the episodes for the actual game be like only a few. For this one it goes past that but it doesn’t get too much.

I liked the first game for the new team. Mihashi plays against his old school. I liked the outcome the most.

The next episode 9 deals with Abe’s problem which I know already because I read the manga. It will be interesting to see if Mihashi can help him with that.

Season 1 is over. I am hoping for a season 2.

I liked how the story played out. 26 episodes ready to download. 26 isn't about the main characters. It gives a lil storyline for maybe whats to come?

The manga is going strong 15 chapters. I hope more comes out soon.

I felt like watching this series again but I couldn't find my discs. Then I found out it was licensed by FUNimation.

Not sure it is a good thing or not.

Don't think it is possible to miss up a series like this.
