Anime Nodame Cantabile Anime/Manga/Live Action/CDs!

Watch this. Now. It's about two people who're in music college and their relationship to each other. Pretty simple, but damn, it's fun to watch. It also allows people who don't usually listen to Classical music to listen in and enjoy the pieces.

I'm such a fan of this show, I ended up *ahem* "getting" the series, the CDs, and watching the live action....it's great.

Nodame and Chiaki make great central characters in a Tsukkomi-style comedy. The secondary cast is awesome though, and it keeps the show lively without boring you to death with just the two main characters.

Thanks for watching this great anime! I love it, and seriously wish that more people watch it.

 

The episode where Masumi is introduced is when Mine tells Nodame he's a man but he still loves Chiaki.

By mid-series especially, you can tell Chiaki's feelings, even though he's not willing to admit it to himself.

And yes, they're the music from the show -- some complete, some shortened.

 

You should. The main manga hub that I link myself to has very little of it. However, it seems to follow the anime very closely -- and the anime has the added benefit of the musical score.

No where near the end yet of the anime, from where I got it. Then again, I haven't really been keeping up with the manga...

I'll send it (the DVD with the songs) ASAP.

 

Okay, got home and checked, the furthest I've seen is Volume 4, which ends roughly at the end of the Nagano Music Festival (right after Chiaki gets assigned to do Rachmaninov's concerto for his own school's Festival). But, there is a story after about Nodame's piano teacher when she was young...good side story that.
