Anime Wert Makes A Request

    I'm dyin' for new anime. Seriously. I loves me some Bleach and some Naruto and even One Piece, but it's been slow getting new episodes out and I need something new to wet my whistle. What's been keeping folks interested now-a-days? I'd love to have some recommendations as to what's hot and what's fun. Old series, new series, it doesn't matter.

    What kind of anime? Actiony?

    Funny little series is Nagasete Airantou.
    Then there's Raideen, that seemed interesting -- it's a mecha anime.
    Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou Tou was pretty good, but really short and it's a zombie school flick.

    I am with Izzy. What genre are you looking for?

    I also watch those three and here is what I have been watching.

    Claymore- 26 episodes. About a female who is part monster. She goes around destorying the full demons/monsters with a really big sword (claymore). She looks rather interesting. She is called silvered eyed witch.
    Zombie-loan- 11 episodes. 1 girl with shinigami eyes help 2 boys that get a zombie loan. Together they fight zombies so the guys can return to not being zombies anymore. Though the story gets far more interesting then that.
    D. Gray Man- 53+ episodes Exorcist try and stop the Millennium Earl from destroying the world. It has a better background then that.
    Darker than Black- 25 episodes 10 years ago hells gate appears and people are given powers. Hei tries to figure out what it is and why he has powers.
    Kaze no Stigma- 24 episodes Can't do it justice.
    Seirei no Moribito- 26 episodes Have yet to watch but it looks interesting. It is licensed.

    I want to check out Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou Tou

    I'm not at all picky. Action is grand, comedy is golden, drama is always good. I'm a story hound so if it's got a good plot I'm all over it.

    Claymore... I remember my buddies back home mentioning that one a few months ago. I should take a look at it. I'll check out Kaze no Stigma as well.

    Hey Izz-dogs, I can't find your Nagasete Airantou anywhere. Did it get misspelled?

    Ooops, Nagasarete Airantou. I fail weaboo.

    I will add more...
    Blood+ - moves a bit slowly at first, but I'm told it gets really good. (got sidetracked from it a bit)
    School Rumble - umm, search for posts of mine in threads of this.
    Nodame Cantabile - seriously, you will get hooked. ask basher!

    It's hard for me to download series as they come out now...my boxtorren*s account has 200+ GB of upload, so i just download when I feel the urge. :D

    Completed all the remaning 4 episodes from afk in less than 4 hours!!! usually one episode will take me5 to 6 hours:(

    Just playing with words, I was referring to Lucky Star

    Well, if I'm going to recommend; I just completed an anime series entitled "School Days" along with my Lucky Star downloads, if you guys are looking for something a bit goth and twisted, I could recommend this title. At first it's all about friendship, love, romance mixed with a little betrayal, deception, and gruesome multiple murder! :eek:

    It starts out as a cutesy and a seemingly normal anime show about high school students where girls fall for a certain guy and the guy happens to be indecisive, the story becomes all happy and lovey-dovey till every girl wants the guy for themselves and finally one of them snapped and stuffed him in a bag. Not the typical Tenchi Muyo ending that you would be looking for.

    Have you done Death Note yet? It's a riveting ride from start to finish. One of the best I've seen in the past year.

    OMFG Claymore.

    I have to know if they're going to continue the story or not. There going to be a second season? It's wrapped up yet still deliciously, ambiguously open. Are we in the time frame between seasons right now?

    Whoo Hoo! That was fun as hell. Goddamn, thanks for the tip Bashi. I'm working on Kaze no Stigma next.

    I heard "talk" for a season two that's it. No clue on anything else. Will let you know if I find out and you please do the same.

    My understanding is that it changes from the manga. I have read some of the manga but not all.

    Izzy I am trying to check out Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou Tou. If anything some comes out on DVD in December.

    And I can watch School Days now.

    Yeah, I had picked it up on Box when it was available. The ending is a bit lackluster, but it does leave open room for a Season 2, which makes sense. High School of the Dead is much better though, even if it's a manga.

    Yeah, I only have like...13 eps total, IIRC. Meh, moved on to other things...and I still think High School of the Dead is a bit more my thing. I'll have to see if I can somehow forage for the other episodes now!

    Nagasarete Airantou got good about halfway (almost done with it) because of new characters Tohno and Mei Mei. And that fact that one of the power leaders of the island is a rooster.

    Recently got Code GEASS, as well, since everybody's recommending it.
