To all members and supporters of the Furuba Project,

Usually, Ina would be incharge of this but she's too angry to form a
coherent and proper announcement for you all, so I'm incharge of
this one. Anyway, the Furuba Project has been online for almost a
year and sadly, it finally has come to an end in the worst reason
possible. As you guys may know, we've had problems with
distribution of the scanslations when we have POLITELY asked for
them not to be. Even through all the requests and even warnings, it
has been promtly ignored. That's right. Today, Ina had discovered
that the scans (vol7 chapter37 to be exact, which has the BLUNT do
not distribute not on EACH page. I suppose this one's blind....)
were being widely distributed in the KazAa server by the
culprit under the name of anon73. While most users have an @kaaza
or even an adress after their user name, this one is blocked. The
name address comes out as anon73@???. I'm not quite familiar with
kazAa, so I'm not sure how to check for IPs or how to track it
down. We're truly sorry for all of you who have followed our
request and we greatly thank you for supporting the project for such
a long time. \

Personally, I'm also gravely sorry that this has been ruined by one
person yet again. We knew this was unavoidable, but we always had
hope that people were understanding and knew how to respect other
people's efforts and wishes. But I suppose we were sadly mistaken.
There will always be some who ignores and has no care for repect.
The situation brings about the saying "You give them an inch,
they'll take a mile." This may sound rash, but once is enough while
twice is too much. It's disappointing that this has to come to an
end so soon, but we have no more patience or tolerance to those
people who take advantage of our efforts for others.

On a personal note, I'm really sad about this and very hurt. I
haven't been working with Ina very much on the Furuba project since
I'm on my final year of High School, and school work is taking much
of my time. Two art classes on the same semester with an equal load
of project, the orginazation of our school's new anime club, and the
planning for Anime North also isn't helping much. Ina has been
slaving over the furuba project by herself. She has been sitting in
front of her computer with a dictionary in one hand and a kanji
dicitonary in the other, translating pages and pages of the manga
for your veiwing pleasure. For someone to betray her like this
after all her request is annoying and disappointing. AND to be
betrayed TWICE makes it much worse. It's just plain dirty and very
very sad.

If you have anything to say, don't bother. THE MODERATORS WILL NOT
RESPOND TO ANY EMAILS. We're just as mad as you are. We know it's
unfair to a LOT of you, but we have stated our terms and conditions
and people accepted them. This proves someone lied. This decision
is final, unnegotiable, and unchangable. If you have respect for us
and for all we've done, do not distribute your copies of the
scanslations you've already dowloaded for yourself. Again, we
apologize.

So that's it, no more scanslations. Damn shame too. I'll keep an eye out on the net for other sites offering scanslations of it, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Well, I'd still like to voice my appreciation to the project, I wish it could have gone on longer.
