Anime 4Kids sets its malicious sights on Pretty Cure

Well, looks like we get to look forward to more butchered anime. I've never seen Pretty Cure myself, but with this development I'm doubtful I ever will.

 

Can't some crazy fan hurry up and assassinate the leaders of 4kids already?

I just heard about this on another board today. XD It makes me wonder if they're dropping Mew Mew Power....

It's a lot of girls shows they're picking up... Oo

My only hope is for no Doremi Sing-a-long -esque thing...

Oh my gawd, I wonder what they're gonna do about the characters' names being Cure Black and cure White? XD That'll be fun to watch XD

I believe we are getting a little better. But it still isn't the same.

 

I mean,what do ya wanta watch,the brats,or an awsome battle on One piece!
If they put any more crappy shows on,then im gonna kick there butts! I want to watch Anime,not Cg animated crap! I want to see battles,not a buch of girls putting on make up! (No offense to those who like these type o shows)

 

To tell you the truth, I might like it. Even if it is cutsey. I need more anime in my system ^^ but yes 4kids RUINED One Piece for me..

 

I'm just glad they didn't get their hands on Negima, even though they were really close, Funimation saved us all from dispair. I wouldn't like to hear little Yugi Moto (Bag Yu-Gi-Oh! DUB) as Negi Springfield.

I still wish someone, anyone, other than 4Kids would have taken Tokyo Mew Mew. I still don't see how they didn't see Kodocha as Shoujo, but thank god they didn't. I would probably hate any DUB forever if the first Anime I watched was made from 4Kids.

I started watching Anime back in '97 with Dragon Ball GT, which btw the Spanish DUB was incredible, and Digimon. But when I came to Florida, and heard the Digimon theme song made by 4Kids, I was about to kill somebody. And the movie I was so looking forward to....butchered after it's slaughter.

Anyone imagine if 4Kids took FullMetal Alchemist?

One Piece was taken off because it's ratings were HORRIBLE. like REALLY bad...it was their lowest rating show Oo
Mew Mew was supposedly taken off because they didn't liscense the rigths to dub the rest of the series.
Bratz is doing well because of the dolls, and those are (believe it or not) tremdously popular with girls right now...despite the fact they send out a worse message than Barbie >> (I want my Barbie dolls back)

And don't ANYONE say crap about the Winx Club, all right? XD (which btw, comes from Italy)

omg, if 4Kids had done FMA....what if they had gotten naruto!? I mean...Alfred Kahn, the CEO of 4Kids called Naruto "Naratu" O_________O

I'm still hoping the prediction I made back in October or November about 4Kids possibly getting their hands on bleach, NEVER comes true. Orihime will have to get a down size.

And about Dan green, the english voice of Yuugi and yami off YGO...I just discovered (form a DVD I've had for a good couple years now) that he's Mikage in the utena dub.
Mikage. Gay, sexy, dark, voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa (who was KAIBA'S first seiyuu) Mikage. Voiced by Dan Green. ._.
*gets images of Yami saying Mikage's line "But Rose Bride suits you more" to Kaiba* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BAD YAOI THOUGTHS, BAD, BAD!!!!!!!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Funimation hogs the entire thing an re casts the entire show. Double fingers crossed for someone like Laura Bailey as Ichigo. No, not Zoey, ICHIGO!

I still wanted to see what happened to Barbie and what's his face....;p

I would hate FMA, and the Naruto DUB isn't so hot on it's current state either...

Lucky for you, no they're not. I belive it was ADV to get Bleach, but I'm not really sure....

Appartently, at the same time it was on, another REALLY popular show was on, on a different channel. Oo People were watching the other show instead...

If FunI does get Mew Mew, they won't be giving the characetrs their old names or the show's old title again. that would be too confusing for kids that watched it. it's like with Clover Way got the rights to dub the rest of Sailor moon from DiC. they couldn't change anything.

Yeah the Naruto dub's bad...but if 4Kids had it...it'd be worse...

 

I dunno, Funimation really likes to keep everything original. Example:

Kodomo no Omocha was changed to Kodocha for the US release for both the Anime AND the manga, so it wasn't really Funimation that chnged the title. They didn't change the names, and there were some parts that were definetly supposed to be cut from the DVD release due to some crap the Japanese companies were giving them, but instead they found a loophole, and only cut the audio in Japanese, and kept every bit in English.

Plus, Funimation's got some really talented people, both for scripts (Mike McFarland, ie. Jean Havoc or Ritsu Sohma; John Burgmieier, ie. Kurama or Rei Sagami) and voices (Greg Ayres, Laura Bailey, Jerry Jewel, Vic Mignona, Monic Rial, etc.)

Besides, Tokyo Mew Mew is not really a KID KID show when you uncut it. Still, they should just get used to the good stuff.....
