    Thats false, midday is in the middle. Its before midday, ergo it is early.

    no, before mid day means it is before the middle of the day
    it says nothing about "early" or "late", those are relative human terms

    But is it not generally accepted in modern society that before midday is morning? Surely you believe in a begining, middle and end?

    Would you arise from bed at 8.46am, look at your watch and exclaim "oh bugger and poo, the day is almost over.

    no, but that has nothing to do with early or late.

    early or late are personal deadlines YOU yourself set to regulate the time in you day.
    there is no set early for every body, and no set late. 2am can be both early morning, and late night.

    That's pretty early for a weekend, but VERY LATE for a school day...as in "ACK! I'M LAAAATE!" late.

    It's pretty late, in my opinion. It's still relative though.
