TokyoPop and Viz would be jumping for joy when they see that order. Personally I don't like X (don't hurt me) but if you got all this it would cost about $3000 (yes I looked it up and added it all

lets just say...that I have pretty much the exact same list as Aoshi's_Angel with the exception of Cyborg 009 and Akira.
..it would still cost a shizit load though...

(btw, there is a thread just like this made...but more general
    here: clickyclicky )
    But I guess it's ok...

    XD

I have to right to hate X. Fuuma has the right to hate Gundam. But I added it up as if it was the entire series. So just think about it Ranma is about 25 volumes to date. Inuyasha is about 15 vols as well as X

Not a big fan of X myself but I think the list is pretty neat.

I own most of them mangas that you have, and yes, completed too :p.

    Anyhow

FLCL Neat art, really good manga, and it's only 2 volumes!

Oh My Goddess! Do I REALLY need to comment on that? :p

Love Hina Simply the best ecchi/Romance/Comedy manga I have read. Much MUCH better than the anime.

Chobits Very good, cute and nicely drawn. Better than the Anime though. One thing that bothers me is that they call Sumomo for Plum.

Cowboy Bebop It's not like the animes...It's...rather Ok. Although I haven't finished Bebop (Anime) Yet...

Confidental Confessions Very Dark Manga, it's got really dark topics such as rape, drugs etc.

.hack//legend Very nicely drawn manga, nice plot, and yeah...it's .hack.

Well that's those I have...But I recommend Battle Royale if you haven't seen the movie (It's non anime :p) / read the book. It's really brutal and it's probably the first manga that I have seen that has the "Parental Control" logo on it. Anyhow, I also recommend that you get A.I Love You! if you enjoyed Love Hina. It's Ken Akamatsu's first manga before Love Hina, and yes, you can draw parallels with Love Hina. (Same art type, the girl looks like Mutsumi). Apart from that, Ranma is 25 albums and Inu Yasha is around 16 or 17.

    Good luck

    ~ FLCL
    ~ Ranma 1/2
    ~ Rurouni Kenshin
    ~ Vampire Game
    ~ Chobits

My list looks small compare to yours, Aoshi's_angel. ^_^x Of course, I'm probably missing some, since there's too many to list.

Both look like quite nice lists, although it will get expensive (as previously mentioned) to buy them all. If I had to make suggestions from the two lists (based on what I've read and seen) my compiled list would be as follows:

Angelic Layer - At just five volumes, this would be a good buy for manga fans, especially CLAMP fans. It's a cute story, and the manga moves at a much faster pace than the anime (surprising as the anime is only 26 episodes long!)

Chronicles of the Cursed Sword - While not on either of your lists, this is an excellent fantasy manhwa. I highly recommend it. Currently, Tokyopop has released three volumes, and the fourth is slated for release in January.

Fruits Basket - The English translations aren't due out until next year, but this title is excellent and highly recommended. I can even vouch for the translation accuracy (I know the translators personally).

Fushigi Yuugi - While I can't vouch for the translations, they should be decent. This is a good series, but could run a bit pricey with a total of 18 or so volumes (I'm not sure how many have been translated).

Inuyasha - Provided you don't mind reading flipped manga, this is a good title. Viz releases are a bit more expensive than Tokyopop ones, but they shouldn't be too much more in the long run.

I.N.V.U. - Again, not on either list, but one that I highly recommend. Of course, you'd probably only really enjoy it if you like the whole romance/drama scene. I'm a sucker for that kind of thing. *wry grin*

Wish - Another wonderful CLAMP work, complete in four volumes. If you're looking for good stories that you can get all of in one go, this is probably a series for you. Cute love story, to boot. ^_^

Beyond that I can't really say. I don't really read translated manga as a general rule, but I have read enough to know some of what is good and what isn't. Even with that aside, there are still plenty of series I know very little about or just don't care about.

I hope these suggestions/mini-reviews help in some way, and I hope you have a lot of fun time reading manga!
