Wow, I just realized this whole posting area existed. I like to write, but I suppose I'm a little nubular, if long winded.

Well seeing as we have a game for every other posting area I thought I'd like to try something a little more creative for this one. I hope at least a few people have fun with this. The whole point is to simply take something from popular poetry, nursery rhymes, or even popular musical lyrics, and twist them about in a fashion making them much different from thier original form, and see who can guess what the original poem/lyric/nursery rhyme/fable really was. You have to get a little creative to bend the words around to try and make the end product different, yet still conveying the same message as the original.

Confused? I'll post an example and we'll see how this turns out. This should be pretty easy, but at least you'll all get the gist of it.

    ~Guess me~

There once roamed a lad, young of age and great of spirit, who bore the noble name of his sires, Doodle, and the beloved surname of his mother’s ancestral lineage, Yankee, who’s travels across the lands of Shire and York brought him to the prosperous Village known only as ‘Towne’.

And it was upon a noble mount, a stallion of stature and grace, that this young fellow hence made his way and forthwith brought him from hither to yon ‘Towne’.

Upon spying an item of great esteem and fashion the stout, young lad plucked it from the ground and placed this item, nothing less than a pinion from yon Chrysolophus Amherstiae, into his helm

And with great pride and foolishness he labled yon pinion as maccarone, with all style and formality due as such.

Master Doodle, continue your exploits and strive for success,

Master Doodle, quite fine and dandy indeed.

Be ever mindful of the music and vigilant of the to’s and fro’s of the dance,

And always be quick witted and charming in yon endeavors with the women.

Easy Cheezy Lemon Squeezy. :3 Oh, and as always the twist on the poem has to be your own material, no cheating and posting someone else's work. Also we should try to use familiar poetry or lyrics or fables or whatever so that way people have a chance at guessing what it is supposed to be. Have fun.

Of course it is. :p You didn't think I'd take this name without knowing all about its origins, did you? :p

Anyway, I did a quick google search for this one, and it's pretty easy. It doesn't rhyme after my mangling, but whatever.

    The miniscule arachnid
    Ascended the eaves
    Upon him fell the precipitation
    Flushing the arachnid out
    Solar power beamed down
    And evaporated the dihydrogen monoxide
    Thus the miniscule arachnid
    Ascended the eaves once more

    Enjoy. :p

    heres goes
    a very goodnight
    a valient solider
    in light and in dark
    looked so long
    ryming a versus
    in his quest for home

but as time passed he became weak
    this solider so great
as his heart shanked in the pit of darkness
    dropped to his knees
no where in site that looked like his home

    as his strenght
    left him at last
    he spied a mirage
oh mirage where is where can it be
    my sweet sweet home

    over the shadows
    of the past
    through the pits of fire
    be quick about it
    said mirage
if you seek for your home

This sounds almost Lovecraft-ian. Reminds me of the story "The Quest of Iranon", but the ending doesn't fit at all. oO I have no idea, lol.
