I found Kiwi had passed on in the middle of the night. This made me really sad since he was such a little bugger. I know he was just a little hamster but I loved him very much, recently he slowed down and developed a cataract in one eye and he slept more so I didn't get to see him often. It didn't upset me until I put him in the dirt in the back either but all I think about are the funny things he did.

Anyways I just want to link from my gallery and share with you some adventures he had when he was living: In Memoriam, Kiwi

    Oh my God...

I can't believe that Kiwi is no longer with us. Even though I never met the little guy, in the time I've known you I've heard enough stories about Kiwi and all the things he's done to honestly be able to say that this makes me want to cry.

You've got my condoleances. I think we all grieve with you, because Kiwi was a fantastic pet, and it always hurts to lose such faithful animals.

Alas, poor Kiwi, I knew him well.

I remember when you put him in his ball and let him run around a hamster track downstairs and the cats would be freaking out. I'm going to miss the little dude, but maybe you should find a new hamster and name him Kiwii to fill the cage.

Oh! That's so sad! :'( I remember when my hamster, Fuzzums died. Just be glad that he died peacefully during the night and that he didn't die because he was sick and you didn't ahve the money to see the vet so you had to put him down to put him out of his misery without knowing what was wrong with him.

But still, it's hard losing a pet. :( It's like losing a family member or soemthing...

I saw the vet too for his eye. I was pretty stupid to not ask how much the 5 minute visit would cost. Plus some stupid ointment I couldn't get in his eye.

Thank you for your posts guys ^__^ and no Tg, I won't name another hamster 'Kiwii' poor male hamsters. They have to drag this huge .. nevermind. but it's hard to run on the wheel for them!

I still find it shocking hamsters only live for about 2 years. Kiwi was a little over 2 years when he died.

MT: Will you watch his videos with me and share in the memories?

    Poor Kiwi!

I remember what happened when my first hamster died, I cried so much afterwards, and I know how you feel.
My poor hamster broke her back when she tried to climb out of her cage.
Hope you find peace with the little kiwi.

Just leave the board. Is it a significant loss? No, but so what? Kiwi was a bit of a mascot for certain social circles on this board.

    Now, go.

Kiwi was no 'hampster'. No matter how small a life is, it should be cherished. Don't make assumptions about other people and I never asked for a lecture from you.

I would have normally sent you a PM, but you haven't bothered being tactful, so why should I?

Actions like this will warrant you a ban. Another wrong step could be your last one, Spike_Spiegel.

Well, I just found this thread, and checked it out. Let me start by offering my condolences. It's no easy thing to lose a beloved pet, almost (and sometimes worse than) losing a human friend. While I know not the pain of losing one to death, I do know that it hurts to have to leave them behind, and I sympathize with you. I'd explain further, but I'm running short of internet time today.

T.T Aw I'm very sorry! I hope Kiwi passed peacefully with no pain or struggle. Aw I don't know what to say.... My condolences... He was a cute fuzzy hamy, I saw him in an attached picture in one of your posts in the art forum holding a sunflower seed. I had so much fun playing with his picture in photoshop, and posted it in one of the threads.

i feel sorry for your long lost friend(the hampster) i kinda know how you feel i got this one cat from one of my dads friends(his cat had babies). This was the first ppet I ever got I had it only for two days because my mom didnt like animals in the house so i had to keep it in a box when im not home
(a very comfatable box i could have lived there) the second day i went to school and came back it wasnt there I felt sad.(i was in the third grade)

a more recent experiance is that i had these two small paret type birds, we hade them for a long time it was so fun (ohh i got some good memories from those two) but one day my mom whent to clean the bird cage outside(pretty dumb but she actually had a good reason for that) and they flew away it was actually pretty sad this was when i was inthe 9th grade.
so i understand how you feel. and those pictures are great and so are the adventures kiwi (lilbuger) took
