A month ago i was reading the Gamepro issue and it talked about a new Nintendo system comming out. I just wanted to know if any of u guys heard about that too. It mentioned that in 2005, nintendo corp. will try to come out w/ a new system before ps2 makes a new ps3. I just think that's wrong cause they just came out w/ a gamecube and why would they want to make a new one? On my opinion i think they should be more concerned on making new games for gamecube and concerning about making the graphics more realistic like ps2....

    What do u think??

The PS3 was in development or was slated for it BEFORE the release of the PS2, how about that?

I don't think that Nintendo would actually make a new gaming system so soon, if only for the fact that the 'Cube right now uses existing technology. The only feasible reason I can see Nintendo making another one is to make a multimedia console instead of a simple gaming console to actually compete with Sony and Microsoft. It was of my opinion that the Gamecube should have gone in that direction in the first place, but Nintendo wanted to keep their consoles "gaming only."

I'm glad Nintendo's gonna finally stretch out. I mean, even when the 'Cube came out, and Nintendo finally went into storageable disks, they went and used specialized disks that can't play on anything else. IF they go mainstream, I'd think that more people would again be looking at Nintendo, because despite the lackluster (I think) n64 and the dismal Virtual Boy, peopel still trust Nintendo. Especially with the advent of the Advance. Nintendo will always be a quality firm, because they *do* quality. It's just that separating from the mainstream *isn't* exactly too good in terms of business sense.

I get people at work all the time wanting a DVD player AND a console that can't afford it. So, why in their right mind would they want to buy a 'Cube, right? Well, if Nintendo can cure that remedy with this new system (if it comes out, and is a multimedia console) then I personally think they're headed in the right direction.

And as far as Graphics go, PS2 is not exactly the *BEST*. Sure, more software gets developed for it, and all advances are pretty much seen there first. But, the Cube has really crispy graphics as well, and did NOT have all the anti-asliasing problems that the PS2 had on its startup. Hehehe, I remember way back when it first came out, most games were delayed because the anti-aliasing software was not exactly efficient and took up too much memory resources.

I don't know about anything of what is going on, but this is interesting news. Speaking of multimedia systems, I hope they come out with a keyboard peripheral for the Gamecube sooner or later... communicating on PSO is terrible from what I've heard...

I don't think that Nintendo will make another consol but who knows??

about N64: I've never had so much fun like sitting and shooting the **** outta my friends in games like Golden Eye 007 and Perfect Dark. Its been 3years since I got PD and I've played over 1300 games with friends (almost 900 of them was before 1year had gone) so I cant say that N64 was a flop
