Creative Writing A Poem-Fantasy

Here's something I wrote last night:

I have no special someone,
or a girl who holds my heart.
But I feel it doesn't matter,
never had one from the start.
I'm told I need a woman,
to complete my little life.
But emotion clouds my judgement,
even more so would a wife.

No girl alive could understand me,
or love me like I need.
And my thirst for love is satisfied,
by the girls in what I read.
They need someone to help them,
they are week while I am strong.
And I shelter their frail psyches,
from the evil and the wrong.

What I do not have in this world,
I'll have in fantasy.
For I'll make a girl who's all alone,
and needs someone like me.

Sometimes i fell like that too, but you can't live in fantasy forever. Someday you'll find the girl of your dreams, like one in your books because i believe theres someone for everyone on this earth.

{nods} There are alot of people who feel that way. HeHe I know how ya feel though, I always become emotionaly attatched to the characters I read about in my books. But ya cant always live life out of book, sometimes you need to open that book as well as yourself to let other people see whats there. That was one lesson I had to learn the hard way, but there is somebody out there who'll be exactly what your looking for, but when you hide in books, more then likely your going to miss the oportunity to meet them.

 

I always want to punch myself in the face for thinking like that, but I think of girls that way often. That's what happens when you have too much imagination, but its awesome when you can put an imagination like that to writing. You get a powerful message out of it. Though not exactly on the same subject as love, you can probably find that my poem a little ways below this to be the exact opposite in theory to this one, if you're interested in reading it that is.
