Ranma 1/2 A Q. that bothered me so long

    That Q. would be, how did Ranma becomes a girl when he is wet, a boy when he is dry( or was it when he gets wet by hot water- whatever).

    Episode 1 explains it all. if one just watches an episode from later on without watching ep 1, confusion will occur.

    That's the problem, where I am at, there is not much anime! Even Kenshin wasn't there. I had to make a SPECIAL order, so I don't have any episodes for Ranma !
    So if anyone can tell me by sending an e-mail, I would be so greatfull..

    Heh...bear with me a sec.

    In China's Qinghai (spelled really wrong methinks) province, there is a cursed training ground called Jusenkyo. It contains hundreds of different "tragic stories" where things have drowned in springs. Each spring, when fallen into, makes you turn into whatever drowned there when splashed with cold water...and the only way to return to your true form is to get doused with warm water.

    Ranma fell into "Spring of drowned girl" and a similar fate happened to about almost every character in the series...

    A little more clear, or confusing perhaps?

    Ranma's dad drags him to Jusenkyo and then he and his dad fall in the waters. Ranma Spring of the drowned girl and his Dad falls into the spring of the giant panda. ******* becomes black pig that is Akane's P-Chan. I love Ranma 1/2 ^-^

    I just edited out the name of the person who becomes a black pig, because I can't remember if it is a spoiler or not. If it isn't, someone pipe up and I'll change it back. Just don't want to see any surprises ruined.

    Anyway, the series really is great. Seeing the first ep. is your best bet at having a clue of what's going on.

    Mamiya, That character is introduced in episode 7 (of the first season), and his curse one or two episodes later, I don't think we have much of a spoiler in that.
