I was wonderin' how long it take's you people'z to draw a pic. Cause I think maybe i'm not spending enough time, or maybe i'm spendin' too much time when I draw.

I 'specially wanna know how long it take's PorPor Coro. Amazing.

Jus' to say I can spend from 5 minute's to 3 hours on a pic. Maybe 10 hr's if it's something I only work on in borin' classes.:D

i would probably say about the same amount. If i am just doodling on a scrap peice of paper not long. But if say i want to finalize it i would probably take more time on it. Just depends on my mood too. Oh and somtimes my best work is done during school classes.:D goes to show that school is boring.

Yes like what Jaken said, if your just doodling, then maybe 10 min, if you go into some detail. But if you are like finalising your work, it should take you a while...depending on the size of the picture.... any other questiond let us know ^_____^

I get most of my drawing done at school. Ill start something during 1st period, and if I liek what comes out of my twisted little head I'll still be working on when 7th period comes around. ;)
Usually I'll spend near bout 3 or more hours on a drawing if I'm wantign it to be good.

probably max an hour on sketching, an hour on inking
cg'ing around about 5-7 hours on average. in total my last one probably took about 12 to cg. depends how complex i want it. i usually stick to simple stuff line-art wise, and try to really bring out the colouring.

From a couple of minutes to a couple of hours. I rarely leave my art incomplete. I will not stop drawing until the piece of art I am workig on is finished.

He's one of the admired artists around here, cuz his drawings include huge, detailed backgrounds that take up hours to draw.

For my own drawings, a basic drawing of a person from the hips up could take me less than half an hour. If I choose to draw in the fingers, those alone may take 5-20 minutes. If I want to eventually scan the drawing, I'll spend maybe two-three times more time in drawing everything, that way I won't have too much unnecessary sketch lines. Plus, my tedious perfectionist's side kicks in, and I end up erasing and redrawing the tiniest parts several times. Hair and clothing are the fastest, cuz you can make minor mistakes that go unnoticed. Nose, mouth, chin/cheeks can take up 10-30 minutes (but I'm gradually improving my speed on those).

Coloring...ooh! I'm also getting faster and faster with that. For my first three or so CG's, I'd take 3-6 hours on them, and those were small pics! My latest few CG's also take about that long to do,, but they're larger and nicer.

I generally don't think I spend enough time on my drawings. It takes me, like, 10 minutes to draw something... I'm a real spur-of-the-moment artist, lol. ^^

But if I'm drawing something at school, it'll take me days... I'll take it out, work on it, get yelled at/bored, put it away, then take it out five minutes later. ^^

For my drawings, I spend about 10-15 minutes. But if I'm really into what I'm drawing and I want to make it better, I'll go for 30 minutes. 10-15 is my average. I havent' timed myself for painting though...I don't really paint often.

    mine take 3-5 days

first i will think about how the people will be postioned. So i sketch them on a piece of paper. After that i listen to some instrumental music (some times) depending on how i want the pic to look. Like if i want a water like picture i will listen to a soft kinda song. Or like the jungle i will listen to a good flowing track. My favorite CDs to listen to in those situations are Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Manatsu No Eve: Tenchi Muyo! 2. so i have the people sketches along with a developing background and i intergrate them both so i have a broad looking pic. Then after that i fine tune the picture with little details that arent really noticed alone, but when the whole picture is included with them ....the details really help. I dont know, it takes like 5 days for a really complex picture for me....

CDs i listen to while drawing:
Queens of the Stone Age - Songs For The Deaf
    The Offspring - Americana
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way
    Jay-Z - BluePrint 2
    2pac - Better Dayz
    Nas - God's Son
Buddy Guy - 1958-2000: Greatest Hits
    GreenDay - International Superhits

    all good beats and stuff

~BTW~ i have never CGed before so all of my pics are just drawn and then scanned. Total rawness ^O^

Dependos on the mood. Sometimes i draw a complete drawing in a few hours and sometimes draw the head one day...think about the pic...draw the body the next day...think about the outfit and so on so on... longest drawing thats still not completed is about three weeks old :) but im working on it still...its kinda slow progress tho :D
But im in no hurry so i want to make the drawings good, like that when i look at the drawing the next day, i dont say "oh man this is a piece of crap" wich i sometimes do when drawing fast...
