    My question is this:

Would you make any changes to SMJ?
The only one i might do would be to give Otaru a few more shining moments. Since he tends to rush in to rescue Lime, Cherry, Blood berry, only to be rescued by them.

    Yes I would.

    1) More Screen time for Hanagata.
    2) At least one moment where Hana-chan totally kicked **** or wasn't beaten up.

    and

    In all seriousness, folks....

    *takes deep breath*

I would have put Hanagata and Otaru together at the end of the series. Even without being graphic. Yeah, yeah, I know... but as a staunch Hanagata fan, I can't help it. I want to see Hana get his man!

    eep!

I would make it so Saber Marionette J to X wasn't licensed while people were in the middle of fansubbing it.

i can't see the SMJ series ever ending like that. (Nor would i want to) Otaru wouldn't stand for his Marionettes wouldn't allow it.

I would have also liked to see more of Peterburg than the three seconds we got when Faust invaided it.

My only change would be that "happily ever after" story ending... It should have been a sad remembrance of those who made the sacrifice for love...

Of course, then there wouldn't be anymore Saber Marionette continuation such as Again or J to X... but, it would have been better...

Other than that, I think the rest was perfect... how else could it have made me so obsessive?

    BakaMattSu, save Peterburg for SMP...!

This actually stems from an old idea of BakaMattSu's ...
I think the series would have been cooler if some kind of cross-over story was made with the Star Wars characters. I can just see Faust, Xizor, Vader, and Palpatine all standing side-by-side on the Death Star while Otaru and the Marionettes duke it out with a Trade Federation occupation force of Battle Droids ...
Just more ramblings of the solitary nerd ...

Why don't we battle it out later in Star Wars CCG with your SMJ set BakaMattSu??

Another thing I would have done is brought back Marine at the end of SMJ Again.(that end made me sad [IMG] ) For anyone who may know, were Marine's Otome circuits fixed in J to X?

Also I would have gone with more info about the Mesopotamia's love for Lorelei...

As far as I know,Marine is not even mentioned in J to X. The only possible signs in J to X that J Again even happened were that Tiger's Otome-Kairo had obviously been repaired and that the Saber Dolls living in Japoness "to study the civilization that brought about the new age."

That said, having given in to the temptation to spoil myself by reading the J to X ep. synopses on Hanami's SM World [IMG],I have some idea of how the series ends ([GHWBush]not gonna spoil it-wouldn't be prudent[/GHWBush]). I have also read Sumiki's "Forever Never Ever." (a must-read for those of you who've seen all of J to X). Based on what I've read,I would definately prefer the "Forever Never Ever" ending to the original ending (which smacked of "Magic Reset Button").

As has been mentioned by me before, and by the great BakaMS, I would ditch the cop-out ending, much as I would hate to do so.

Yeah, I was a bit confused at the end on how the three marionettes suddenly appeared again. It explained it in Saber Marionette J to X for me though [IMG]

I'm tempted to go and read the episode synopsis' myself... what I want to know is why are there no more series(to my knowledge) being created in the J, Again and J to X timeline.

Give Otaru's marionettes the capacity to grow beyond the pre-programmed attributes of their Maiden Circuits (in particular,Lime becoming less and less naiive as the series progresses). Sure they "grow" in the series, but I've always felt that their growth was limited by the attributes of their respective Maiden Circuits. The Saber Dolls didn't seem to have this limitation, which makes them more believable and more "human," for lack of a better term. However, the trade off is that it makes it harder to classify which marionette's Otome Kairo represents which part of Lorelei's personality.

InuYasha - Maybe human Lime will be able to throw off her naiivete

Perhaps the creators felt that they had covered everything that they wanted to cover or felt that they needed to cover in "the J continuum." They tried to tie up as many loose ends as they felt expedient and then left it at that.

Of course, other possibilities are that they simply went on to bigger and better things,or that continuing the continuum was simply not worth the cost of hiring voice actors, animators, production folks, marketing folks, the whole nine yards. No matter what the reason, they ended at J to X,and we the adoring fans are left frustrated and unfulfilled.

Then again, what fiction work ever takes the trouble of ironing out every single possible loose end?

InuYasha - Still wishes that they'd have at least come out with a Saber Marionette Movie...

    Saber Marionette Movie, eh?

Which would you rather see if they made such a movie, ladies and gentlemen? An alternate universe movie (think along the lines of the Utena movie which remade the series rather than concluding it) or a post J to X movie?

Although I have yet to see the rest of J to X... on the movie subject, I think I'd like to see a conclusion... honestly I'd rather see both. Maybe SMZ will make it to the screen? Or maybe it's time to watch everything I have again and look up the sites so I don't accidentally reference a non-existant manga:D .

MO, BakaMS, you already know you have my vote on the cop-out ending, but still, Saber Marionette, in it's incarnations and variations, just friggin' r0>

Actually, there is one area that I would be interested in seeing if they ever did decide to make a Saber Marionette Movie. What happened in the 300 intervening years? There's so much blank history to explore,in a Xenogears/Xenosaga-esque sorta way. I don't know about the rest of you,but I'd be interested in seeing that.
