Some sort of plant native to terra II. Also, it seems the limes and cherries that exist on terra II are different from ours.. they can have gender or something.. (dunno if there are bloodberries on earth)

Of course, all of this could be due to bad memory on my part, and could all be false.. heh

Smart Alec!!!! *baps Mamiya with a plushie*

But seriously, is it like a raspberry? In my SMJ to X DVDs, they sometimes translate her name as 'raspberry' or 'cranberry' (Hanagata incidently is 'Huxai' *shrugs*).

And they also started to call Lime, Amy towards the end in my SMJ-X DVDs. I would guess, that bloodberry, was named after some native plant that had berriers that were blood red in color, the name may also speak of the flavor of the fruit.

What did I say? I was being serious, for me [IMG] You're scaring me from answering questions in the future [IMG]

I am pretty sure I read that they are different plants from the earth version, the gender thing too.

Thanks, InuYasha. That article and picture really helped.

It's weird though, Limes and Cherries are pretty common fruits but a bloodberry...... hm... why didnt they just call her Grape or Tomato or something?

~ Lady Aoi: still thinks bloodberries are weird.

LOL. Actually that is not where my name comes from, although Matt is not the first to point out the whole Lady Aoi/Lad Yaoi thing...

I originally chose this name because I like the color blue (Aoi) and because one of my favorite anime females, Hell from WeiB Kreuz, is named Aoi. Since a lot of women on line seem to take the name of their favorite male anime character or j-rock singer and stick "Lady" in front of it (i.e. Lady Maxwell, Lady Quatre, Lady Hanagata [IMG]) I decided to be creative and original and do the same thing with one of my favorite characters. I also found out later that 'Lady Aoi' or "Aoi no Ue" is a character in a Noh play of the same name. Heh. Go figure...

However, now that you mention it, perhaps the Lad Yaoi thing was subconscious... you never know with my mind.

The uh... fruit. But if there were two bloodberries in the show I'd find that weird also.
