Not to far from where I live a sad thing has happen. I want to get the word out about being careful.

A 22 year old female was kidnapped (abducted) around 5 p.m. on 11/22/03 right outside a mall.

    Please visit this site. www.finddru.com

There are several articles in newspapers which are able to view online. Here are some.

    www.kstp.com/article/view/124689/

    www.kstp.com/article/view/124809/

    Most recent ones:
    www.kstp.com/article/view/124852/
    www.grandforks.com/mld/grandforks/7378690.htm

Several of these articles have the ability to view news footage.

There are other cases of abductions also.

    www.grandforks.com/mld/grandforks/7378778.htm

These two cases have not been linked at all.

I just want to bring awareness to M2A about abductions. It is not to scare you. It may not happen to you but please be careful. There are plenty of sick people out there. Please be cautious when going out at alone at night. Grand Forks is considered a small community. No one thought it would happen there and it did.

Flyers for Dru have stretched over 300 miles away from Grand Forks, ND. They have even reached some of Canada.

She has been missing for over a week. Her abductor could have traveled far in a week. With everyday that passes the chances of Dru returning home safely diminishes.

Hopefully M2A members’ hearts and prayers can go out to the family of Dru for her safe return home. I am not a praying person but for this I will. I personally don’t know Dru but I have friends that do.

you live in grand forks? eek, you're only a 3 and a half hour or so drive from me...eek *^-^*

and yeah, the whole state here can be considered a "small community" not like nd is huge or anything...
this is one of my big conerns this time of year, what with working teh mall(kirkwood) and watching parents abandon their children in k*b thinking nothing will happen. is also why we leave the store at night in pairs and at target, we're managers weren't allowed to leave until they saw the employees safely got to their cars.

haven't heard anything about it in teh Bizzy area though. will keep watch for anything though.

good luck to them in finding her.

Sad ... and sick . I already heard about it to many weirdos about the other day I was being followed by some beant over **** head guy everywhere. If I find where he lives I'm so gonna bust his nuts. Why would follow a good 15 year old teen who can be fairly aggressive?
    to many Peodos about.:(

That kind of thing always makes me want to smash something. Obviously, something's wrong with the justice system that stuff like this continues.
It reminds me, though, a while ago there was rapist on the loose right here in Waterloo. I don't think they ever caught the guy ...
Seriously, though, people like that deserve to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

It makes me really sad that things like this always happen. In cleveland there was a girl who was a friend of my cousins, they thought she was missing and they were looking crazily for her. she ended up she had just ran away and gone and slept in a park. I find it astonishing people can do something rude like tha, causing everyone to worry like crazy.

    Warning, disturbing abduction story

Thats so terrible, I live in the UK, and things like that arent rare around here. Last year 2 12 year old girls from a small town a few miles from me went missing after playing in their school grounds after hours. They were missing for over 2 weeks, it was a huge case and everybody helped and everybody was interveiwed except for me and where I live. The man that abducted them was the school janitor, apparently his story was:

The girls knocked at his house door, and asked for a tissue for one of them, because she had a bleeding nose. He invited them in, and gave the girl a tissue and they sat down. Then he told them to go upstairs into the bathroom were he could clean her face for her. The girls followed and he apparently tried to clean her and she "fell" backward and hit her head on the bath side, she had died from the impact. Then the other girl started screaming and paniking, so he grabbed her and apparently tried to calm her down. Study had showen that she had been shocken to death or strangled.

now that sounds like it could have been an accident, except when they were found buried in a deep hole in the middle of a desolate field, there were traces of sexual activity after the girls were dead.

The man is in jail now, and his wife is, she was also found guilty although I do not know her part in it. He is facing 4 life sentances (The uk is crap and a life sentance is 20 something years)

When I heared about it, my heart immediatly went out to their family, I diddnt stop watching the news, and then when they were found dead, I was in tears, I couldnt possibly imagine how their family felt.

Be careful, no matter were you live.

Sorry if the story disturbed any of you, I felt it neccisary to stress the point further.

Rem that is a sad story. Well, I know others have heard about stories like that. There is actually a reason for never talking to strangers. Makes you wonder if it is just strangers you shouldn't talk too. A couple years back there was Jenna North (I think that is who she was). She got abducted while on rollerblades. I don't think they found the body though. It is sad to think of the sickos in the world.

Another thing is that it could have been you that was abducted.
Well, I am hearing rumors now of the Dru case her boyfriend maybe the one who did it. We shall see how it goes.

Right now theres a huge problem with girls that are around the age of 8 that are being kidnapped. it really is a scary and sad problem, it really disheartens me also to find out about the mothers who end up spending their whole time mourning for their children.

It's really sad that even in a small area like the WLU campus all my female friends are afraid to walk home by themselves. I guess it's convenient to have a few large male friends like myself in those cases ... but it's just really, really sad. I even have to tell my sister sometimes not to walk alone at night, and she lives in a town the size of my shoe.
