Well, imagine yourself going on a tour to see the battle ship, the nadesico. All of a sudden you lose sign of all the tourists and the guide. Since you watched the nadesico's tv series, can you find your way around? Do you know where the bridge, recreation, visual reality, akito's room, and the hangar are located?

I remember in one of the episodes they showed schematics of the ship... it may have been in the "how and why's of Nadesico". But still I don't think I'd be able to navigate my way around.

I'd probably stay in the entertainment room all the time and watch Gekiganger all the time.

I wouldn't mind checking out the engineer room either. Maybe get Uri-P to make me my own Aestivalis.

I can't seem to find any blueprints to the Nadesico around though.

close, but I'm looking around for the interior of the nadesico BluePrints. Thanks for scanning that one anyways, it's cool.

edit: oh yeah, by 'Jupiterian' do they mean Jovian?

Yes... I prefer Jovians.. It's sound awkward calling them Jupterians

Speaking of Jupitarians/Jovians, what is it written as in the untranslated manga? Does anybody have links to, or know anybody who can get untranslated Nadesico manga scans on their computer? I'd like to see what they actually wrote in kana...

    Jovian

Definition - Of, or having to do with, Jupiter. Jupiter was the supreme god in Roman mythology.

Context - "As the Voyager spacecrafts passed through this Jovian kingdom, they encountered a realm of alien worlds, the like of which we had never expected."

Although from the stuff I've seen around, Jupiterian also has something to do with astrology: "When it came time for Earth to be developed as a garden paradise, all the other planets were asked to contribute the best of themselves. Jupiterians, for example, contributed their reptile species. We call them dinosaurs. Our great fascination with and fondness for these creatures stems from our past happy associations with Jupiter."(http://www.spiritweb.org/Spirit/tales-planets-celeste.html)

Also I've noted that even in my search for Jupiterians in Nadesico I've come upon people who call the people from Jupiter Jupiterians in the anime. Maybe they both mean the same thing in katakana and translation mistakes were made...

Sweet... I didn't know that Kia Asamiya, the guy who illustrated the Star Wars manga did the Nadesico one too [IMG]

At the dubbed version of the TV series, they refer to the people of Jupiter as the JOVIANS... now is it correct to say Jovian or Jupiterian?

    _______
yeah.. ^^, THe manga is by Kia Asamiya; however the anime was done by Mika Akitaka! it's funny, but Kia Asamiya keeps covering his face with a "Now printing sign.." at the interview at the end of the manga... hehe ^_^

I've never seen the dub meself... But I'd have to say that if the sub says Jovian then that's what I'd go with. Although I'm going by the fansub of the anime...

I must get my hands on the manga!!
