My second early concept sketch of the marionette Death from my SMJ fanfic series, J vs M.
What I intended for Death's look was to make her expression one of dual meaning, to reflect her character.
Death is portayed mainly as cold, cruel, and calculating, but underneath it all, I wanted there to be a hard
to notice, but still present gentle spirit.
In my first attempt, I modeled Death as a darker mood mix of Lime, Cherry, Bloodberry and Lorelei, but mainly Lorelei.
The result I ended up with was a very faraway stare... a version of her in lost thought. It was very different from
how I felt she needed to be, looking completely gentle...perhaps saddened.

Version 2, as seen here, presents Death closer to how I originally intended. Almost graceful in appearance, she also
has a questionable expression looking almost indifferent, but deep within those eyes, a searching soul...
