Debate Abortion

Hi, I'm new here if you didn't notice. I love to debate over important issues.

Anyway, let's talk about Abortion. Are you for or against it and why? I will give my opinion after a few of you post.

 

You're not going to get anywhere with this debate. If you want anyone to respect you, just forget this thread even was started.

Abortion is a really tough debate however, he's right in the respect that it may cause a few ruffled feathers, due to the fact that it has both religious and moral aspects. These are really touchy subjects, and can easily offend. But this is what arguing is for!!

I'm probably neutral when it comes to Abortion, I'm not really for it, and I'm not really against it. The situation the mother is in really contributes to her decision of whether or not she have the baby. I don't believe it's murder, I don't believe the child is really alive until it's out of the womb and into the world. Sometimes the life a woman is living is not ready for a child, or she has some sort of emotional reason why she wouldn't have it (ie: she was raped). Overall it's a decision not to be made by the public whether it's right or wrong, and should really just be left alone, imo. But, people will be people, and will have their opinions and will try to force those opinions on others who they think are doing wrong. Tis a vicious circle, and I doubt everyone will ever be able to agree whether or not abortion is really right, or really wrong. At least they're doing it safely now, instead of resorting to drastic measures to get rid of the fetus, and possibly harming themselves in that process.

 

Novus, this is the debate forum. And the mods can keep flaming and spam under control, I should have no problem conducting a mature debate on abortion.
