    Mizutani Kiyomi

    [Size=Large]Mizutani Kiyomi[/Size]

    Name: Mizutani Kiyomi
Meaning: Pure Beauty of the Water Valley
    Birthday: January 24 (Aquarius)
    Age: 16
    Character Class: Student
    School: Meiyo Gakuen
    Stats: STR 8, DEX 16, CON 10, INT 20, WIS 10, CHA 10. [13 Points Remaining]
    Skills: Computer Use – 9 (4 Ranks), Decipher Script – 7 (2 Ranks), Gamble – 2 (2 Ranks), Knowledge: Physical Sciences – 9 (4 Ranks), Speak Languages – 8 (3 Ranks). [33 Points Remaining]
Skill Specializations: Computer Use – Databases, Decipher Script – Code Cracking, Gamble – Strategy, Knowledge: Physical Sciences – Mathematics, Research – Historical, Speak Languages – Code Language.

Appearance: Kiyomi has light aqua colored hair she keeps tied in two braided rings. Her bangs are wavy and usually in her Dark Green eyes. She always wears a kind smile unless you piss her off to high heaven. Kiyomi likes to wear anything trendy that matches well, but usually wears her Meiyo Gakuen uniform because it shows that she is from a presitigious high school and makes everybody jealous.

Personality: Kiyomi is usually kind and nice. She especially is gentle to children, but can get pissed off at some older kids and their stupidity, which rarely happens. However, when she does get angry, it's a scary sight. She got her way into Meiyo Gakuen by acing the tests and is very, very proud of herself and spends no time wasted in showing she is. Kiyomi is one of the more snobbish students in Meiyo Gakuen and thinks of herself a bit too highly. She finds herself too good for the most popular students of Meigo.. She spends her time helping the less priviledged students.

History: Kiyomi used to go to school in Hokkaido. When she moved to Crystal Tokyo she told NOBODY about how she was teased. She became like the people that teased her, arrogant, conceited, etc.. to make sure she never became the one at the bottom of the food chain ever again. She vowed not to tease someone that was like she used to be.

Secret: She used to be mocked at her old school.

Special Virtue: Kiyomi is nice, kind, calm, which makes up for her arrogance. She is really respected by most at Meiyo.

Special Flaw: Kiyomi is arrogant and conceited. She becomes angsty when reminded of her past.

    Phobia: Mockery

Final comment: I'm giving you 2 Bonus Character Points for the provided background. That leaves you with 13 CP and 33 SP. Any unspent points will be lost when you begin play, so you might want to look into more skills and attributes/feats...

Could you help me with spending these remaining points? I don't really know what to do with them.

Have you not found anything of interest in the Attributes chapter? There are a lot of fun additions you can make there.

As for skills, I can still think of many that fit her.

Bluff, for those situations where she convinces others that she's the bully and not the one who was bullied in the past.

Concentration, for that late night studying.

Or maybe Diplomacy? That is, if she's one to step in and stop arguments rather than starting them...otherwise, maybe Intimidate?

Gather information if she tends to keep up with school gossip and current events...

As a student, there are plenty of Knowledge skills left in the mix to get ranks in.

Can she sing or act? Perform.

Part of a local team? Sports.

    Can she Swim?

I think there are plenty of open choices left. You just need to decide.

2+0= 2 in Diplomacy (Rev Ability is Wisdom) Specialization -> Social Grace

Gather Information - 4 Ranks which costs me 4 of my 33 points.

4+0= 4 in Gather Information (Rev Ability is Wisdom) Specialization -> Gossip

Knowledge: Biological Sciences - 3 Ranks which costs me 3 of my 33 points.

3+5= 8 in Knowledge: Biological Sciences (Rev Ability is Intelligence) Specialization -> Physiology

Knowledge: Cultural Arts - 3 Ranks which costs me 3 of my 33 points.

3+5= 8 in Knowledge: Cultural Arts (Rev Ability is Intelligence) Specialization -> History

Knowledge: Electronics - 3 Ranks which costs me 3 of my 33 points.

3+5=8 in Knowledge: Electronics (Rev Ability is Intelligence) Specialization -> Computers.

You are correct on most accounts, but a few of those skills are cross-class for students. I've rewritten those adjustments below:

Bluff - 4 Ranks which costs me 4 of my 33 points.
*Bluff is cross-class for Students, for 4 points, you have 2 ranks.

Diplomacy - 2 Ranks which costs me 2 of my 33 points.

Gather Information - 4 Ranks which costs me 4 of my 33 points.
*cross-class for students, you have 2 ranks for your 4 points.

Knowledge: Biological Sciences - 3 Ranks which costs me 3 of my 33 points.

Knowledge: Cultural Arts - 3 Ranks which costs me 3 of my 33 points.

Knowledge: Electronics - 3 Ranks which costs me 3 of my 33 points.
*cross-class for students, maximum rank for level 1 cross-class is 2, which costs you 4 points.

    33-20 = 13 Points left.

    Bluff: 2 + 0 (cha) = 2
    Diplomacy: 2 + 0 (wis) = 2
    Gather Information: 2 + 0 (wis) = 2
    Knowledge: Biological Sciences: 3 + 5 (int) = 8
    Knowledge: Cultural Arts: 3 + 5 (int) = 8
    Knowledge: Electronics: 2 + 5 (int) = 7

Oh, another thing I noticed was in regards to the Languages skill. From it's description:
"Additionally, a character will be able to speak and write one foreign Language for each Rank in this Skill."

Your character gets to choose a number of foreign languages. I'm going to assume her native language is Japanese, so you have a number of additional langs to pick still. :)

It would be easier if I had a profile like yours and User18's. Mine isn't like that and it's a bit more complicated to understand when it comes to ranks.. I pick English and Spanish for the other languages.

I've posted a more readable character sheet copy in the Characters sticky.

Finishing up your details, I took a look at the student advancement chart (Classes, Chatper 5):

    Code:
    	Base Ref	Will	Fort
Level	Attack Bonus	Save	Save	Save	Special
    1	+0 +2	+0	+0	Divine Relationship +1, Sixth Sense +1
You'll notice in the Special column that you are granted a free rank in the attributes Divine Relationship and Sixth Sense. You might want to read up on those in Chapter 6, Attributes. You will need to choose a phenomena to be sensitive to for your sixth sense. ^^

I'll be able to sense when others are in danger. Does that work?
