Recreation Affiliates/Sister sites

    What's the difference between being affiliates and being sister sites? They seem the same to be :confused:

    yeah! really i don't know what's the difference between them:( but i think affiliate is something you do to get more hits(visitors) and sisters sites when you do because you like the person...

    an affiliate support a site in some major way. like we are an affiliate site of anime nation. a sister site is a site that is almost like another site but not. like layout wise...like if there was another forum that cloud did that used the same layout, but was about something different...that would be a sister...they just look alike...that's all i'm saying lol

    I think that Sister sites may be directly connected to one site in some way. A while back I had Hitokiradio as part of my site, but then I made a new site just for Hitokiradio, but I guess both of them are parts of The Domain of the Hitokiri @_@x


    But an affiliate is someone who you advertise for, or they advertise for you in order to make money...

    Well, for example. Sachiko's Bloodberry / Akashi and Echiko's SMJ page, and the Saber Marionette Media are sister sites, because:

    a) They reside on the same address (more or less)
    b) They're maintained by the same team <- this is the important
    c) They're sisters! LOL

    In comparison, an affiliate. To affiliate is to "become brother" of something, an organization, etc.

    In this case, my site is affiliate of B.tuv's site.

    That's the difference.
