Anime AirMaster

    I don't think many of you have seen this, so its a post to let you know about this cool anime that's subbed to episode 17 at the moment.

    AirMaster is about a teenage girl named Maki and the world of Street Fighting. Maki is already caught up in this world and known as the 'AirMaster' due to her arial combat moves and her 'flying'.
    Maki gets a high off of fighting and there are flashbacks when she was very young in front of crowds doing a certain professional sport and feeling the exhileration and pain.

    What makes this anime great is the fight scenes there are some hilarious but really weird characters and some annoying ones as well. In it you'll see the world's tallest man, this crazy man who wants to marry Maki, a psychotic woman named Sakiyama Kaori who aspires to be a super model, a teenaged midget who looks exactly like her younger sisters, and a girl with size big breasts who has a love infatuation with Maki.

    So if you want to see some seriously cool fighting moves AirMaster is for you. It also has a popular manga.


    Has anyone seen any of this yet?

    Haha! I watched one episode of this out of complete boredom. What a steaming pile of *random thing that steams*

    Its completely ridiculous and annoying. Fight scenes, Characthers, 'proportions'. That, and the artworks is just god-awful.

    Steer clear.

    That's your own personal opinion of it. It may not be the greatest anime, but the fight scenes are great. I've seen up to episode 17 so far and I'm not complaining.

    Master of the obvious :p

    If credits due, it'd probably be to the animation in the ridiculous fight scenes. Doesn't make up for all the a other major annoyances tho :)

    I haven't heard of this anime before, but since it's related to Street Fighter I'll probably check it out someday.

    I like Airmaster. I watched the 10 first episodes, and so far so good. It's funny, and the fighting scenes are awesome. Maki is a great lead character, I love the whole "Airmaster" concept.

    Just saw and let me just say. WORST ANIME EVER! The only thing good about it are the enemies and the girl with the huge chest.

    lol! I was just saying the worst thing was the girl with the huge chest.. it's just wro-o-ong. Anyways, I got tired of this anime. it better get to some ultimate point within episodes 18-24-6 or I'll kill the next Mexican Air-fighter I so happen to meet, just because he/she is wearing a horrible looking mask..

    Here's my thoughts.. now, I've only watched one episode, so keep that in mind as I say the following.

    I like Maki, her character intrigues me, the fanservice doesn't, but I just ignore the panty shots &c because those type of things bug me. Now.. the *rest* of her little group... Renge in particular, then that big breasted girl mentioned earlier, they annoy me enough to make me never want to see any more of the series. Nevertheless, I still like Maki.

    Yeah I know what you mean ^^; Farther in the series Maki's character becomes even more intriguing, as you learn about her but only little by little which leaves you there wondering a lot.

    Renge just plain pisses me off, and so does Mina (The "girl with the huge chest"). But I don't mind Michiru and the other one.

    did anyone read the manga? because the ending episode is quite absurd. I kind of skipped 7 episodes just to see the ending.. I thought at first I missed something vital, but then..turns out I didn't!

    You indeed didn't, as I told you earlier.. I finished the series today, and it felt as though 10 episodes were missing between 25 and 26.

    Her real name is Jackie, and not Aikawa Maki? Who's the monster-looking fighter? He seems like a god-like entity or somesuch. I'm quite confused, and there never was any explanation concerning all of those happenings.

    Episode 27
    Well, the final episode discussed "the path that people must reach to continue on". It seems the Fukamichi Ranking was made to gather humans to defeat a nearly Immortal Myouboin man who has protected the name of the "strongest human" forever. But, it doesn't look like Maki beat him.. and I didn't see a point to what the show was leading up to either? Other than Maki finding some sort of resolve in her life.

    oh well if you aren't going to watch it, might as well read it..
