Good news, everyone. In dublin anyway. Starting sometime this august(I'm trying to find out exact dates now), the IFC is going to be playing all of Akira Kurosawa's films. Which is really groovy because I've hardly seen any of them. They include Seven Samurai, Yojimbo and Dreams and many others. Just thought you'd like to know.
Hmm, no luck finding a schedule. If I'm in town I'll pick one up and post it. Laters.

As promised, here is the schedule:

    Aug. 30: Throne Of Blood (2:30, 6:10)
Aug. 31: Rashomon (2:30, 6:10) (there's a mix up on the leaflet here, but I'm pretty sure this is the right time)
    Sep. 01: Yojimbo (2:20, 6:00)
    Sep. 02: Sanjuro (6:20)
    Sep. 03: Drunken Angel (6:20)
    Sep. 04: Stray Dog (6:00)
Sep. 05: The Bad Sleep Well (6:00)
Sep. 06: The Hidden Fortress (6:00)
    Sep. 07: Seven Samurai (2:30)
    Red Beard (5:20)
    Sep. 08: Seven Samurai (2:30)
    Red Beard (5:20)
    Sep. 09: I live in Fear (6:40)
    Sep. 10: Ikiru(To Live) (6:00)
Sep. 11: The Hidden Fortress (6:00)
Sep. 12: The Hidden Fortress (6:00)

And that's it. You need to be a member to view the films, that costs €1.30 per week(or €14 per year), and individual tickets cost either €5.80 or €6.30 depending on when it is.

I think I'll go see Seven Samurai tomorrow at 2:30
I've heard a lot of good things about the movie, altough I've also heard it's very long and slow... Anyway, I'm sure it'll be good :)

Yeah, I was at 7 Samurai today, and it was ****ing brilliant. It's one of the best films I've ever seen, everyone should see it, so ****ing cool. So far I've been to Rashamon, Yojimbo, Sanjuro, The Bad Sleep Well, The Hidden Fortress and 7 Samurai, and I'm going to Red Beard tomorow, and Ikiru on wedensday. I spent like €60 on tickets for these. Hoi.
