Manga Akira the Manga

Anyone ever see or read this manga.. Because id like to know how different it is from the movie.. because i know the movie had it been made to a T to the manga it be like 8 hours long..

Anyone know anything about how good/ bad it is!??

Yes! It is absolutely fantastic! As with a few Manga to anime conversions, the anime comes cross abit like a Doujinshi of the manga, containing similar events and characters and "feel" but being a very different story. Get the manga if you can, it is one of my favourite manga ever.

 

Over the last couple of years Dark Horse have reprinted the whole thing in 6 volumes, and it's a much better translation than the one produced years ago, less toned down for the (supposedly) sensitive American palate! It's brilliant and one of my all-time favourites. Anyway, the whole thing is available, you can get it on Amazon if you have problems with manga supplies where you are.

No problem Vash. Yeah id have to order it if i wanted to get a copy.. I friend of mine works at a comic shop ill have to ask him what version they have at the store.. because i dont want a toned down version.. Canadians dont care about how violent comics and movies are!
