CLAMP Works AL: Question!!

    Angelic Layer: Question!!

    Hey everyone!! Angelic Layer is the best!! My question is has anyone seen the anime? Is it out on DVD only in Japan or in USA too? Do I gotta buy a new DVD player that plays Japan's region? I should but I'm a bit broke. Anyway if anyone has seen the Anime tell me if you like it!! I got the manga set and Kotarou and Misakichi gets together and Tomayo and Oujirou get together. Hmmm....someone told me in the anime Misaki and Oujirou get together. By the way Oujirou can be spelled as Ohjiro. I like both spellings.

    Actually, in the anime, Misaki doesn't "get" with anyone. I loved this anime too, and have it all on .mpg/.avi. Good stuff. I dont' think I'll be picking up the manga though...the anime's good enough for me.

    I'm a Shirahime fan ^_^ she rocks.

    Angelic Layer though I never seen it, haven't been released in the US but it is licensed by ADV for future release in North America, so it's best to check ADV's Website for more news on that. Also, though you never mentioned it, Tokyo Pop also has rights and is currently releasing the manga for Angelic Layer Tokyo Pop

    yes I know about Tokyo pop. I own over 60 of their mangas. wait...maybe 54....6 or viz. anyway, i own all 5 manga volumes of angelic layer. heehee...I can't wait for the dvd.
    I'll have to admit. the manga will be different from the anime but it's just as good!!! U should try getting it. only 5 volumes long which kinda stinks. I love Ohjiro/Oujirou!!! More on him!!!! Heehee i wanna see the anime!! is Oujirou's voice done my a female or male?

    I just bought the manga today. *claps* CLAMP has created yet another masterpiece.

    Wahaha, I found it amusing how the idol was called Seto Ringo. Also, before I got the manga, I researched a bit on the characters and I laughed more when I found out about Jounouchi Sai. How coincidental now one of my favorite mangas has two characters with the same last names as two characters of one of my favorite animes, (and the fact one has they same last name as my dream machine... *points to sig*) I also laughed when Sai seemed more like kaiba and Ringo seemed more like Jounouchi... (espcailly Sai with her sister thing @_@) Maybe CLAMP's doing this to poke complete fun at a very, very popular series in japan right now. ;)

    Also what made me laugh, was CLAMP and what they did.... Come on, we can all tell Misaki named Hikaru after the Hikaru from RayEarth... speaking of which Lanka looks a bit like a RayEarth character as well... Who were those girls with the red hair and the tan skin in RayEarth? She looks like the one with her hair in a ponytail like braidy thing.

    My favorite right now are Suzuka and Lanka, but don't be surprised if it ends up changing to Shirahime. Anyways, it's just because I'm shallow. ^^ They both look so cool Suzuka also has lightning speed and Lanka uses dance moves while in battle to distract her opponents. Hikaru's pretty cool as well. ^^

    Good anime, and one that surprised me, actually.

    Coming across with an almost pocket monsters impression from some short glances, the story is actually well put together, and none of the tournament parts seem out of place or dragged out. In fact, I looked forward to seeing what the next outcome would be - even though it's often predictable. Or maybe it was just looking forward to see what the episode's batsu game would be. :p

    My favorite angel would have to be Wizard, just cause he was so unique, and had the nice barrier trick. My favorite character was the loud-mouthed and overbearing (but still with a heart) Tamayo. ^_^

    ADV Films is supposed to have picked up the license, but there is no release info as of yet on their page, so it might be some time before you'll see a North American release...

    Angelic Layer is one of the best shows I have ever seen.
    Me and my friend wanted soo badly to make one of those dolls just like Hikaru.
