Comics All Hail Jhonen!!

There are undoubtadly some of you out there going "Duuuuh... who be dis Jhonen Vasquez chappie....? I have not enough bran to member good." So in case you're one of these people, I'll put it this way. He's a comicy dude. Makes comics. Yup. Not really suprising considering this is the comics board. I'm sure the most well known here of his work would be the cartoon Invader Zim. Which really does kick ***. Much like most of the rest of his stuff(BAC being the probable exception).
The poll does be jes a throwaway. Fer shits an' giggles, you know.
So what be the real point of this thread? to discern who knows of JV's work, and to spread the word. His **** includes Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, Squee, I Feel Sick, Filler Bunny(ahem), Invader Zim, and The Bad Art Collection(including Happy Noodle Boy{yay}). So yeah, check his **** out, on account of it rockin' like hella good.
Invader Zim is pretty popular around here at the moment, but I was watching it first of course. They just started watching it because I did. It's really quite pathetic. And they don't know how to apply their make up properly either.

 

Ill say invader zim Just because ive not seen any of his other work... Lame Reason i know i know..

JTHM is the best. Johnny faces everyday problems and settles them in a slightly more violent way. I also like I feel sick.

I opted for JTHM myself, it's got random killings and the illusion of profoundity. It's eveything you want to be. I Feel Sick is a close second though, kicks ***.

 

yeah I like the way he colors his stuff, so thats one of the reson I like I Feel Sick, sqee is cool because JV is in more of the strips.

 

Actualy, I Feel Sick was coloured by Rikki Simons. Jhonen did the covers of all the comics though. Which are groovy. And if you like Jhonen appearing in the strips personaly, you should get filler bunny. That's pretty much all it is.

I feel so sorry for filler bunny he's just so unhappy....thats what makes it a great comic!

 

Invader Zim was my favorite t.v. cartoon. But now, he's rarely on. i love Squee, Happy Noodle Boy, and Filler Bunny. i have yet to find I Feel Sick or the others at the place where i go for my Jhonen needs, but i would buy it if i could find it. But i have to say random Happy Noodle Boy is the greatest.

Squee is the most adorable little disturbed boy ive ever seen.
and, of course, happy noodle boy is priceless.

Johnny all the way! Ahhhh I love JTHM and the way he handles things. I must have read that one-I'm pointing at the blue one called 'Z?'-at least 3 times and it's not even mine. I Feel Sick was okay but I like Johnny and Squee much better. My favorite part about Squee is when he interacts with Johnny anyway Oh except for that Pepito guy. He kicks. Incader Zim is nice to watch and wonderful to laugh at but Happy Noodle Boy is much better to laugh at I think... Filler Bunny just makes me really sad...

 

some times filler bunny is sad but still I think it's funny ......what does that say about as a person.... (besides it crazy I know that all ready)
