    oh mordeth, the kkk hate the mice. they don't know how to be pure. white mice mixed with grey...that's why they stay away from computers mostly...and only the idiot ones come online.[/end bash mode]

    i blame the cross there on the fact that it's a lens flare effect. the sun behind any cloth that's mildly see thru(like the funny silkenish stuff they make our flag out of) cast the same effect. personally, god could do better than just flash around a symbol, and maybe do something. maybe i dunno, straigten out the world. but i'm sure putting silly imagry into a stupid flag takes great presidence over that..silly me...

    Where did you get KKK from that? I am an american and proud of it. This flag represents the unity of god and the people of america. Okay now I am kidding. I think it is real not some cheap knock off. It is just beautiful how the sun looks like a cross. Stand proud because I am an american.

    A nationality is absolutely worthless. It's deeds that show how a person (and nation) really is.

    I mean, how do you know God doesn't just really REALLY like that parking lot?

    See, here is another thing that kind of intrigues me... Nobody hears neo-pagans bragging about the starfish looking like a pentacle. Not that it matters, I just thought it'd be interesting to note, given that every bloody time something resembling a cross or current views on what Jesus or Mary looked like, the particularly devoted begin to freak out. Like Freud said, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

    Anyway, I have to agree with Bloodberry. Even if that image is actually real, I'm blaming it more due to the way the material is arranged (the horizontal bar of the cross is also going across a horizontal strip of fabric, and the vertical one is in between the stars).

    And now the ultimate kicker: Even -if- said image is real and even -if- its actually a manifestation of God's power, just because he shines a holy symbol does -not- mean that said nation is his new group of chosen people.

    How do you know that He isn't just reminding a nation that He still loves them?

    As we have no real idea precisely what The Almighty is thinking, we cannot say he is really choosing people (if he chooses people at all). For all we know, that cross is His Almighty Targeting System.
