Anime Angel Sanctuary ... thoughts?

hm...i really didnt like the anime for this series, it was pretty rushed and didnt explain much. Apparently the manga is alot better. I found it really sick with the incest too >_<;;

so what dont you understand?

 

Well if you want to find the DVD, I rented it at Blockbuster Video. The DVDs subtitles werent too bad. It was way too hurried, I think it would have been better if it were at least six eps.

 

Well, I've never seen the anime (though, luckily, I get money Friday ), though I read about the manga and such, know a little about/of it. From what I was told by a friend, only three episodes were actually made, to sort of promote the manga and such, I think. I could be wrong though.

 

The manga is great I read some translations ad it rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

angel sanctuary

i was wondering if angel sanctuary was any good, i saw an amv with a.s. and i thought it looked cool, but is it worth downloading and stuff

 

Yeah it has incest and crossdresing and blasphemy etc, etc. But personally I didn't really notice that when I watched it. The story is really good, I think, and VERY complicated in the manga, which is really really long. I've seen some of the anime, and I've looked into the manga. Not sure if the manga is translated by Viz or Tokyopop or anything, but if it were, I'd definitely buy it.

Angel Sanctuary is really dark and has a twisted sense of romance. Organic Angels, Inorganic Angels, Reincarnation, Cherubs, Demons, and so on. A cherub helps his master through a video game called Angel Sanctury (his master is Rosiel), Rosiel loves his twin sister Alexiel who was cast from heaven and is reincarnated in Setsuna who loves his sister who dies later on and is put into um...Jibrille ( I think that's her name) and throw in a crossdressing demon named Kurai and her companion (also a crossdresser) named...maybe Michel? and don't skimp on God's voice and Lucifer and the mad hatter...

I don't think that can help at all since it's mostly rambling and I don't remember the names/spellings very well. Anyway~If you want a different type of anime/manga, and don't mind the controversial themes, go for it.

I just saw it last night.I thought the whole incest thing was pretty gross,but it wasn't THAT bad.I thought the story was really confusing,and it wasn't all that original.Not bad,if you like stuff like X(although I like X,and I didn't really like Angel Sanctuary).

 

I always get mixed vewis over the anime. But the mangas great the only you can read it is throught translations on the net. With the whole God and incest thing I don't think it will ever be traslated here in the states.

 

Angel Sanctuary in my opinion is awesome. The incest thing doesn't really bother me. Rociel is my hero.

I've heard about it somewhat--and I'm quite interested... It seems just like something I would really like... I want to know more about this though--before I buy the DVD or manga or anything...
And personally, the whole incest and god thing intrigues me.

 

I have been reading the manga and am really enjoying it. I like these kind of darker themed stories. I think it is really good. I haven't seen the anime yet but it is on my list of animes to see, since I enjoy the manga so much, but like others said I have heard that the manga is better then the anime, probably because it is much more developed and longer in the manga.
