In this corner, in the red, white and blue trunks, weighing in at 286lbs, American animation. And in this corner, in the red and white trunks, weighing 257lbs, the Canadians!

Which do you prefer? The animation of Canadian artists and studios, or the far more prevalent American stuff?

Some points to consider: Canadians have made a whole lot of computer animation. Americans make a lot of really weird and comical stuff, some of which doesn't suck. Without the American market, there would be no Canadian animation, because there would not be enough people to buy it.

Canada has put forth things such as Reboot, Undergrads and Beast Wars.
America has put out who knows how much other stuff.

Shake hands and come out fighting. Let's get ready to rumble!

It was a Transformers series, yes, but I believe it was made in Canada. It has a different title over here (Beasties), and that's usually a good sign.

Beast Wars was created by Mainframe Entertainment. Their corporate headquarters is in Vancouver, but they do have offices in Los Angeles as well.

So it is safe to say that Beast Wars can be a Canadian birth.
