Anime [Anime Blog Muyo!] Azumanga Daioh Web Site

ADV has seen fit to put together the beginnings of a web site for Azumanga Daioh. No content yet, just a trailer, but since there's a site up now, the release date is finally getting closer. The trailer is pretty lackluster, mostly utilizing the "insert a few additional scenes into the opening sequence" trick. It doesn't seem to be trying to sell new people on the series, in fact I'm not sure what it's doing. However, that doesn't concern me as much as it's apparent that ADV (who hasn't learned yet) is planning on using overlays again, at least for the opening sequence. I mean, can we please utilize the multiple angle feature like TRSI does? It can't be that hard.

I guess we'll see the final results soon: Azumanga Daioh is scheduled to be released in Spring 2004.
