According to Anime News Network, Cartoon Network is shuffling Adult Swim around again. First off, Adult Swim will be expanded to six days a week by adding a Saturday Adult Swim again. This will replace the sort of expanded Toonami that has been running on Saturday nights. No word on what will happen to the Saturday-exclusive Rurouni Kenshin or any of the other programming there.

The new Saturday programming block will include runs of the Animatrix and Detective Conan. Detective Conan is interesting because, until now, it has been assumed that it might be another Toonami entry.

Additionally, new episodes of Inuyasha will begin anew in March or April and the debut of Wolf's Rain will also begin in April.

Further on down the dial, TechTV has announced that they will be adding Last Exile to their Anime Unleashed block of programming beginning in March. This is intriguing because it marks a mere one year of difference since its initial broadcast in Japan and a television broadcast in the U.S., which is unheard of.

Combine all this with the other shows that are upcoming, including Witch Hunter Robin in February and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex likely in the summer and it looks to be another great year of anime on television.
