Anime Anime Do-Overs?

Are there any anime out there that you think showed a lot of potential,but sort of sucked in the long run?Any anime that had a few stellar episodes,but the rest was useless filler?Would you like to see those shows re-done?Perhaps with a new script?New animation?New music?

I would have to say if I could choose to have any anime re-done,I would choose Trigun.The story is original and the characters are very charismatic.However,there are some episodes when it seems like they didn't even try in the animation department.And the "filler to plot" ratio is about 5:8 over the entire 26 episode series.I loved some of the episodes that were superbly animated and plot-filled.So why couldn't the entire series be that way? :anger2:

 

Gundam Wing that show is way too talky but I would like to see it so re-tell the story to clean it up a bit

 

how about .Hack//Sign I liked that show and its awesome story, i just wish there was actually some action once in a while!

 

hack sign was bloody beautiful.. it was a masterpiece. it was a little slow once or twice but that just added (oddly enough) to the pace of the anime

 

I'd probably like to see that anime Blue Gender redone. The first few episodes were good enough to hold your attention but by the half way point in the series you were just fed up with it. the story was just not enought to hold your attention as it was the some thing over and over again.

Thought the animation was nice and so were he battle sences the story should have been rewritten to make you pay more attention.

patlabor III, WXIII done again, but without the cheese
GITS SAC, without the motoko fanservice
Kai Doh Maru, good script, horrible animation.

 

Cowboy Bebop: Was good, but too many fillers, better if redone with less fillers

Trigun: Same as cowboy Bebop, and wish Knives got more screen or just make Legato the main villian

 

Trigun, and Cowboy Bebop. Trigun was an anime that was forced to be watch due to the action scenes, and Bebop was going too slow. I stopped at episode 11.
