Recreation Anime Festivals Around

Hi ppls of the anime world. I was wondering if any of you have been to anime festivals. I was hoping to compare the one we have every year so we can improve with other festivals ideas. What kind of things do you do there? Last year we had cosplay and movies and other stuff but i want to improve! any ideas or just experiences youve had at festivals would be appreciated. Its for the anime deprived plz help them!
