    I dunno if this thread's been done before... >>v

    But I was wondering which anime magazines you read? NewType USA, Animerica, Shounen Jump?

    I find they're all pretty pricey, so I don't read any. I have a couple of issues of Animerica around somewhere, but I found them really pretentious and annoying, so it's not really worth my money. And then there's the fact that I have to leave town just to buy the things.

    Newtype USA, sure it has problems... but it's way better than the other ones...

    I read Shounen Jump (me friend gets it) and the occasional Animerica (when that same friend buys it). Yeah, they are kinda pricey, but they have pretty colors, so... maybe it's worth it. ^_^;

    I don't really have any place other than the mall to get mine. Once in awhile I'll get one. But since they cost a niece little penny for a magazine .

    But I love reading them in the store.

    Hmmmm I sorta like Newtype USA, but there's too much american releases and american stuff in it for my liking (despite the fact the forum has people complaining about the other way around.)

    But my favourite is Gundam Ace, more pages than NTUSA and all Gundam (plus all the cute japanese girls cosplaying is adoreable)

    I read Newtype, Anime Insider... and that's about it. I've always wanted to subscribe to ASUKA or something, but it's so expensive for shipping and all! Newtype is pretty cool. It tends to talk about the same thing over and over, though. I mostly get it for Gundam SEED, the occasional DVD that looks interesting, and I got one solely for the Sci-Fi Harry article. :D

    I have one Hana to Yume volume, my prized possession, purchased out of town at a Japanese store. I cannot read a word of it. But I love it dearly. :)

    newtype. i leave it general as it's the same just one is in english now.(a friend came back from japan and showed me the one with the big o centerfold a month before it was out. rarrr and then reading ti in english ruled hehe)
    newtype and animage are about the best out there really. newtype usa is simply missing the arnold references that japanese version has running throught it is all hehe. and well, they gave me a t-shirt and a signed excel saga cd sooo, i loves them more now *^-^*

    As I'm new to everything, I just picked up a magazine with something I liked on the cover. I started Wizard Anime Insider because I reconized everything on the cover of the issue I got :D Plus, it's a new magazine and it ain't as much as most of em.
    It's simple and self-explanitory enough for me. It even has a weekly department that explains Japanese words and culture you may encounter in anime!
    And the department with the weird toys is hilarious :D Can you believe there's actually a marquette of Astro Boy being "refuled" by having some one stick a gas pump up his butt??

    NewType USA. Animerica, and a spanish mag called Manga. ^_^

    So far NewType USA is my favorite anime mag! :D
