Anime Anime or manga?

    Which is more worth collecting? Video/DVDs or books?

    Both of course! What a silly question! Well, not really, but I find manga every bit as collectible as DVD/VHS. Of course, it depends entirely on the series in which you are talking about. You're probably more liable to see me buy the Love Hina manga than you are the DVDs. But, you're also most likely to see me buy NGE in DVD format rather than vice versa. In both cases, I stick to the closest to the creator's vision. Akamatsu made LH in its truest form in the manga, which the anime sort of...pilfered and changed. At least, at the ending. Shin Seiki Evangelion is Anno's work as an anime cartoon. However as a manga, it was the same basic story, just a different conceptualization and almost telling of.

    But, of course, you'll also see me buying Ranma's 6 seasons and 2 movies (I just bought the OVA) along with the issuing of American released manga. :D

    Well, for me, since it's so hard to find manga's here in the Philippines, I prefer collecting the anime vcd's and stuff....:D

    being someone who:
    A) had no $$ until 3 months ago
    B) still is only paid $6.75/hr.
    C) has no credit card
    D) can't go all the way out to san francisco to buy magnas
    E) has basic cable only
    F) has no internet access at home &
    G) 's boyfriend makes as much as i do:

    i go with anime on tv. it's all I CAN GET TO!

    I say both. Both have merits. Not really too much else to say. So I won't say anything else.
