Art Another pic, Girl With a Scyth

Here is another pic of some random person but I suppose a little more influence from apocolypse can be seen here. and it sucks because now that i look at it she is out of proportion..... AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGHHHHHHHHh but i am dead tired so that might explain it a little. anyway enough of my griping here it is.....

The left foot could use a little work though.
Is it supposed to be the Grim Reaper in a bath robe?
I don't think it's that much out of proportion.

 

Very very good. The art is superb, and she looks top notch.

Logistically speaking it's another story. A scythe isn't that balanced a weapon, and can't be used one handed. So really I'm not sure why she'd try to hold up a towel if she's readying a scythe. What's the story behind this?

 

Yea thanks for the replys, that foot was a total pain to draw and i guess it didnt turn out so great. As for the story behind the scyth well, i was playing Dawn of War and the chaos champion has a big scyth so I decided to draw a scyth because the yare cool.... yea well I will probably have another pic up soon.

 

okay everybody, here is two more pics. the first is another of the scyth girl that i just drew in like 15 minutes so I don't know if its that good... and the second pic is a really old one like 3 years ago I believe... jeez and now that I look at it I may have been better at drawing back then....

 

oooooohh nicely none, I realy like the two pictures you posted after the previous one, keep up the good work!

 

The scythe still doesn't sit well with me... she's holding it sort of backwards now and the posture for defense still doesn't seem right... it's a weapon you swing, thus you'll want a stable posture. Standing rigidly and somewhat improperly isn't the way to go.

I'm also more in favour of scythes with "handles" on them like this one:

But granted the scythe is a lousy weapon anyway, it's more a farming tool than anything else.


Edit: Don't take my nitpicking too seriously though; I spend a lot of time pointing out realism issues in things and coming up with explanations as to why it's like that.

 

Okay, was going to comment on the first picture earlier, but computer went on the fritz, so couldn't. ;P Anyways... really is a great picture. The general consensus is right though, that one foot (our left, but her right foot) needs some work.. and I agree sort of with Neph, just holding the scythe like that, in one hand, doesn't look right. The hands are much better done in this picture than your Jill Valentine picture (which makes me wonder, will you be doing any other Resident Evil art? ). Shoulders look fine to me.

As for the second one, it's a total improvement over the first; the feet look better and the general pose is much better, and the way she's wielding the scythe. Would really like to see more of your work, and more of this character.

The third one is kind of awkward, but it still looks good. The goblet/chalice looks kind of.. hm.. flat, I guess you could say. The hand looks pretty good though could use a little bit of work, namely just the middle finger (just looks weird, I dunno). That's all I can really see.

Good job, keep up the good work, and keep posting.

Well I suppose I will have to draw more of this character then, maybe with some real clothes on next time... expect mores soon I suppose.

Third pic has the best style out of the ones you've posted. Also the most sexy.
